Breaks definitely help, but you’ll end up getting back to the point that caused the break in the first place eventually. A lot of problems still linger and echo for initial design philosophy that keep a wet towel on the experience of retail unfortunately. Hopefully dragonflight will be the light in the dark after multiple botched experiences claiming to fix the woes, but at this point, my level of optimism is shot due to historical performance of over promising and under performing while making it a point to demean the playerbase while doing it.
