Currently on the beta as many are aware enh in PVP is in a pretty bad state, although I believe increasing the damage modifier will help a lot and I’m not too worried about that.
The main issue is the surging totem. On paper, it might just be the worst possible design for PVP as it’s an AOE DPS totem that does a significant chunk of your damage.
This is a bad design for PVP because:
A) Players can simply just move out of it
B) It will break CC
C) It detracts from other abilities hitting hard
How to fix this issue:
Option A: Surging totem does 0 damage in PVP combat. This is a very simple yet effective change as you can just modify other spells to balance the spec
Option B: Redesign totemic to instead have a choice node to dictate if you want your surging totem to act in its current state or instead function as a searing totem
Side note: I also think the current tier set which gives pwave cdr when pressing feral spirits should be added into the enh talent tree either in the base talents or totemic, as it played a big role in making the spec feel more engaging in s3 and s4 of Dragonflight
