Enemy Nameplates not working in TBC Anniversary

Even with all add-ons disabled, pressing V to show the enemy nameplate displays the message “enemy nameplates turned OFF”. Pressing it again repeats the message “Enemy nameplates turned OFF”. How long will we have to play without enemy nameplates? Is it possible that you don’t test the patches? You just throw everything at the clients and screw everyone else?

I’m not having that exact issue but i am unable to see enemy player nameplates. Pets and npcs are fine but pvp players wont show. toggling it off and on works for me as far as the displayed message but doesn’t actually do anything

I am having the same issue. I cannot get enemy player nameplates to show. I have disabled all addons and hit v or control v and nothing is showing.

Same error here.

For me, unchecking “Big Debuff” in the “Enemy Player Buffs/Debuffs” section seems to prevent the errors.

Here’s my full trace:

Last night I encountered the same issue. I had dabbled with many nameplate addons over the course of the expansion, so I assumed some of them had broken some hidden cVar setting, and went as far as to run “ /console cvar_default “ - which reset all exposed ui options back to default settings, but it did not help unfortunately.

With no nameplate-related addons enabled, I experienced this issue until I unchecked “Big Debuff” and “Shared CC” from the enemy/friendly nameplate options, it’s possible only “Big Debuff” is the culprit, but Shared CC seems to share the same slot in the dropdown so I suspect they are related based on thier descriptions (maybe all of them are supposed to read as Shared CC?)

I am having the same issue. I have tried many things to get the enemy nameplates to reappear, but nothing is working. I removed all nameplate related addons, and all their residual files in the WoW directory, reset all the nameplate settings, but still no luck. What is particularly strange is that on another account on the same computer (same WTF folder) all the nameplates appear completely normally on multiple characters, but on this other account all the characters have the same missing nameplate bug.

Definitely still broken, unselecting big buffs etc doesnt fix it

I’m still not seeing enemy player nameplates or friendly player nameplates. all NPC plates are working fine though…no matter how many times i toggle show plates

Having the same issue no enemy nameplates. i got them to work once by resetting cvar and then when i swapped toons they shut back off again and now that won’t even work ive tried shutting all addons off and still nothing. the only time they work is in arena.
