Does anyone else multibox with multiple accounts on the same battlenet account?
There is a very aggravating bug where the Endeavor task will complete but will not reward you anything if you have more than one WoW account open.
Completed the whole endeavor last night with 4 open in a group. Didn’t notice any issues like this. Do note, only 1 character gets coupons/exp for each task competition.
Haven’t tried it without everyone having midnight since they all do.
I multibox with seperate accounts ( not he same battlenet) and on some things like raid bosses they all get credit (or so many kills) but the neighborhood quests, while getting extra xp (supposedly) with a group of three, the endevours have to be done by each character.
Yea if you’re doing the same activity with all your accounts, that seems to be the safest. But if one is in PvP queue while another is doing legacy bosses, one of them will get XP and the other one will not, and you do not know which will and which won’t.
And yes, this is for accounts sharing the same battlenet account, because they will share the same house XP.
Yeah this is my biggest issue for the last 2 months now.
Even if my 2nd account (same battlenet) Is just open parked somewhere, if I complete a task on my main account, the checkmark goes through, I don’t get coupons OR xp. It goes in a void. Fitting for the expansion I guess.
I think it’s mainly because the endeavor tasks are tracked by warband and not by individual character. For the previous one, I could do 10 world quests on one character and 10 on another character and that would complete the 20 world quests task. It was the same for Good Neighbor where I could just do a few ‘good deeds’ on a character while doing other things and then do a few more on another character and so on until the task completed.
Right, but when the character “finishes” the task, they may or may not receive credit.
Which is aggravating if it’s an arduous task like Earn 5000 Honor.
Idk for ya’ll but i’ve managed to complete delves and get the completion bonus with 2 accounts open, starting today.
I can’t find in patchnotes anything but could it be fixed?
Are the two accounts in the same delve? If they are, it makes sense you’re getting XP because the “active” account is also the one earning the reward. It’s only a bug if the account that is “active” (active = capable of earning rewards) is not the one doing the activity that earns it, in which case your other character would do something, and the ticker would reset, suffer diminishing returns, and then you earn nothing.
lol. This is not remotely hard to do.
The system is designed for a warband. accounts are warband level. You would need them on their own bnet.
Problem solved, mostly. You still have to earn every achievement multiple times, but you’re the one choosing to play by yourself x4 instead of play with other people. So..pick your battles.
You are misreading the issue. We aren’t complaining about not getting the reward 4x. We are complaining that we aren’t getting anything at all when we should be getting at least 1x the reward. That is an unintended bug, not a feature or measure of balance.
Regarding the honor comment; when it takes you at a minimum of 9 BGs with 10 mins queues, vs. killing 5 raid bosses that can be done in 5 mins, it is perhaps the longest Endeavor task available. To not see any rewards despite that kind of time investment is incredibly aggravating.
That isn’t what I said regarding the “x4” portion of my comment, but yeah, not getting it at all can be disheartening.
It..doesnt though. The only time it takes you that much is if you, or your team, is terrible and you get stomped. I’m assuming you’re trying to frame the minimal amount of honor you get just for being in the match, if that is the case..if you do more than the bare minimum, you will get more than around 550 honor. You’ll also get a faster queue if you don’t play by yourself.

If you’re referring to endeavor tasks, its the same as the others. If you think you should get more than you are currently getting, considering how easy honor is to get and its not even limited to honor gained in BGs…I don’t personally agree.
again, not getting the reward -at all- isnt great, but neither is trying to get the reward multiple times seemingly for no other reason that you dont want to play with other people. They should fix the first, leave the 2nd to individual account reward at most.
Never in any of our requests here did we want special treatment because we have multiple accounts. That would disrupt game design and would lean more to a “pay-to-win” style; something WoW thankfully does not have. We simply want the bug to be fixed, because as it stands we cannot earn Housing XP reliably when having multiple accounts open. What’s worse is we suffer diminishing returns or access to certain tasks altogether forever, and never get the rewards.
I’m not arguing the merits or difficulty of farming honor as a challenge. I called it arduous because of the time commitment vs. the reward it grants, it is one of the longest House XP per time investment for Endeavor tasks regardless of how good/bad you are (victories while levelling from 80-90 are ~500 honor if you win; that’s 9 bgs at least assuming you win all of them). If I am investing that much time into an Endeavor task, it really sucks to not be rewarded. Addressing this bug is the only thing being discussed in this thread.

What do you mean “forever”, none of the DRs are permanent.
Im not against it, in general, granting more XP/Progress at a base level. That’s not what I was getting at.
Some of the non-repeatable Endeavor Tasks will be marked as complete, but you will not receive the rewards. Hence, those tasks are lost forever. Some of these, such as the “kill lightbloom creatures” and “place 150 decorations” are very low hanging fruit with significant rewards (200 XP!). If this bug happens when you are supposed to be rewarded that, you will never get a chance to perform that task and earn that reward again.

Is this :also: specific to using multiple accounts? I say this because I havent had a single issue collecting Task Rewards.
if so, sounds like the clear solution is to just not use multiple accounts and report it, as it doesnt sound intended.
Correct. If I just have one WoW account open, the bug never happens.
If I have multiple WoW accounts open, the bug is guaranteed to happen.
Having multiple accounts is honestly part of my playstyle for WoW for some time now, and I think a handful of players share this same mentality, though I’m sure we are a significant minority.
It allows me to queue for BGs on one character, camp a certain rare on another, quest/level on a third, fish on a fourth, etc.
I can do achievements that require more than 2 players. I can kill bosses that require multiple players for mechanics. It’s much easier for me than to wait in a LFG queue, have someone join who doesn’t know mechanics, and then fail repeatedly. The amount of time I get to play is limited, so things like that are really frustrating to me.
It’s honestly difficult for me to only have one account now since having multiple is just so much more efficient in getting to do the things I want to do.

Still getting this issue in July. I’m not out here expecting 5x the reward but it’d be nice to at least keep getting 1 raid boss kill credit per kill instead of 0.
Can confirm that since Season 2, I have had no issues.
Unfortunately still seems to happen for me. The other day when I read this reply I would have agreed, but I was just at 19/20 world quests, completed one, and now I’m at 3/20 world quests with 1x completion and reduced rewards if I theoretically get them from the next time. No coupons, no house XP.
