I honestly don’t get the “Muh solo content” argument in an MMO.
People have pointed out there is plenty to do solo, and it can reward better than Normal Raid gear, yet they keep crying for more…
It’s like saying “I want a NBA championship ring b/c I play basketball, but how dare the NBA make me play on a team with others!”
It’s an argument on semantics, Korthia is by far the best way to get 252 conduits, though you can get them out of flawless torghast. It is not the only way to get conduits over 200.
All you’ve done is take an incredibly loose correlation and try to use it as objective proof of your entirely subjective opinion of events.
Solo =/= casual. Also you just continue to pull random unsubstantiated claims out of your rear and pretend like you’re somehow proving your point. You aren’t. You’re just doing like so many around here and take an attitude that
It’s the way you play so it must be the majority because you’d never be in the other group…
I do like how everyone that has this kind of complaint recently swears by everything that this thing that bothers them is the biggest A number 1 problem and it’s always definitely killing the game…you know, if Blizz doesn’t wake up and see what’s so clear to you and your 5D 1000 iq view of everything.
I’ll say few words and hope most people will read this. Wow is dying because of min maxing. Wow is loosing player base because it doesn’t have accessible content.
Elder Scroll Online and FF14 can be played purely solo and that is the reason they are growing. I don’t have the same time like I had 17 years ago. I don’t have same lazy mentality like streamers and hard core players who ignore real life to participate in this content for almost 20 years.
If blizzard decides to really pull the cord that is the day they will gain massive player base. They will lose some forums warriors and in game meta , but that is minority of minority. They have two great games to take advice from and they should do that
No, WoW is dying due to awful game design atm.
Players are tired of system after system being added in, and being forced to grind them.
Renown
Conduits
Honor (for buying and upgrading honor gear/upgrading conq gear)
Archivist Codex (for conduits/sockets)
Torghast (legendaries)
WoW has ALWAYS been about min/max’ing, to an extent. Ppl have done it since Vanilla…
Plenty of ppl participate (and succeed) in this content on a casual basis. Not everyone is a streamer/no lifer.
People seem to think that old wow didn’t have minmaxxing for some reason. It did, people were just worse at it and the information was harder to find because there weren’t really guides running around like there are today.
That’s 100% correct , but those ideas came from Ion H. who is a hard core raider. After Warlods who was last decent expansion regards borrowed power we never got rid of systems and huge time gateing.
Ofc I took streamers as example because they have the most influence on this game , and on any game in general. I am casual and alcoholic I mean altoholic but like someone mentioned I will never achieve flawless score in Torghast (I don’t have the ilvl). Blizzard is adjusting this game for hard core playerbase and people need to step out of their ignorance zone and finally admit it. It’s casual unfriendly
No, you have the lazy mentality that everyone achieving more than you in the game must be ignoring real life. Let’s ignore the possibility that time management exists and some of us can have a successful career, raise a family, AND have a hobby to excel at. Guess it’s just easier to pretend you’re better than other people.
And by people I imagine you mean you since having a difficulty level that not everyone will accomplish is not the same thing as catering to a hardcore base
WoW has tons of accessible content. WoW isn’t dying. Solo players are an extreme minority and don’t make up anywhere close to any majority of the player base.
FF14 is losing subs last I heard. ESO never took off.
The difference is that you don’t want to do the solo content available.
I can almost guarantee my schedule is worse than yours and I make it work. If you want to do it then you find a way. This game is very easy to play casually at a top level. You just won’t be top 1%.
Now you’re just moving the goal post. lol
iirc layer 11 is set for 233? (maybe a touch higher?) ilvl.
Complaining you cant solo flawless 11/12s because you can’t get better than 233 gear, is like complaining you can’t solo Mythic 0s.
I don’t know what to say other than “Some content isn’t meant to be done solo, with casual ilvl gear”.
Find (or make your own) group in LFR for those layers, like most ppl do.
Hell, I don’t even try to Flawless 12s solo, b/c its a huge pain (and guess what, I don’t raid either, so I’m in the same boat as you! except for the fact that I have pvp gear, which isnt optimal for pve…)
Excuses are like buttholes, everyone has one (and most of them stink)
Why was Mage Tower (solo-player content) so successful then, it was jampacked 24/7 with players standing outside the instance
Seems like the balance of players is now noticeably tipped in favor of solo players, especially ever since M+ was added to the game/raiding guilds less popular than before
Because it had cosmetic rewards that people wanted. Imagine implying only solo players will do solo content for cosmetics and expecting to be taken seriously…
