Massive MULTIPLAYER Online. No where does that say MMOGPO Massive multi player online in groups onlyā¦people play this game in the game world alone many times and that has nothing to do with Massive MULTIPLAYER yes multi people onlineā¦shouldnāt have to have any GROUP to play online in this gameā¦period.
I always thought that explanation was daftā¦people play the same game onlineā¦it shouldnāt be MUST GROUP TO DO ITā¦donāt believe that, never will.
EQ failed because of that requirement. Many left including me because I really hated that absoluteness of GROUP only in EQ. So I came to WoW many years ago, plenty to keep me busy solo. Now? not so muchā¦nothing can deter me from thinking that. Not even rude crude comments here. MMO doesnāt mean MMOMG (massive multi online must group)
This definition of casual gamer gets the most hits on Google:
Casual Gamer: A person who plays games but aren't competitive. Usually they are just there to be social and have fun but if they end up losing in the game they wouldn't mind. They don't put in a lot of effort to try to win. They may or may not play long hours of games. A casual gamer doesn't place their gaming as a first priority.Note how I am not saying that your definition is wrong, just that itās not the only one. But you are saying that I am wrong and your definition is the only one, despite evidence to the contrary.
āCasual gamerā has multiple definitions, and people may not agree on one. That is a simple fact, and has nothing to do with what I think.
What would happen if solo players got a higher iLvl (not max of course)? None of the elitists on this thread have given a coherent reason why it would be so bad. āNo, because I said so,ā is not a reason, it just makes the elitists look entitled.
In what reality? Where is the soloistās row in the Great Vault as a fourth pillar? Where is the innovative solo content that also has power rewards?
Thatās like saying 9.1 was the best patch ever for raiders because they got the shards system. The devs may think they are pleasing a certain audience with their systems, but that doesnāt make the systems good.
Because that makes it credible? No it doesnt. If 5 million people say 2+2 is 5 that doesnt make it true.
No it doesnt. It has ONE which is the one I stated. It has butchered meanings by people who try to use the word and misuse it all the time.
Actually multiple valid reasons have been stated.
The real life one.
Considering WoW has never considered solo play a fourth pillar or worthy of giving a weekly reward.
The majority of the playerbase doesnt want hard content. For solo play the equivalent difficulty for the gear you want would be too hard for the vast majority of solo players.
SL has literally had the most rewards for solo players than ANY expansion to date. Try joining reality.
Op,heās trolling .All hail the mighty Snozh!
Facts arent trolling my guy
He has to be trolling.
I mean, I honestly hope heās trolling, for the sake of his own psychological state.
And yet ,you denied the facts or what you believe to be. Good logic there ,the might sozh has spoken!.
Because you dont like being told the truth its trolling? LOL.
You have yet to state any facts. Nothing but uneducated opinions from you my guy.
I havenāt seen you state any at all ,mighty Snozh
I want what you got so i can dream up some cool stuff.
You not understanding the facts doesnt make them not facts.
Its ok though. I know its hard for you.
Oh mighty snozh ,please do tell while a work on my ppe plastics.
The hardcores got Blizzard to partially revert the nerfs to Frost Mage within a day of the nerfs being announced.
So can we get some hardcores to save world content gearing, and ultimately WoW? Say you want it for your alts or something?
We all know that the last place the devs would look is the gameās own official forums. More than a year of pleb players like me leaving the game and giving specific feedback has had the opposite effect of what we wanted.
I donāt really understand why WoW needs to cater to a single player audience when its foundation was built on the concepts of playing with other people online. The idea was going on adventures and making new friends. Exploring a world and conquering a world that felt like it was more alive as a result of there being other people playing along side you. If your looking for a single player RPG there are literally dozens and dozens out there so again why dose this one NEED to cater to a player based who chose to withdraw themselves from the idea of a living world?
The game also has hundreds of hours of single player content you can engage in across its many previous expansions. There are hundreds of achievements which and be earned solo and even more quests which you can go and experience without a group. You can do battle pets, collect mounts, or even collect rare pets as a hunter. Literally hundreds of thousands of hours of content that can be completed as a single player.
The reality is if Blizzard were to decide āhey lets make all raids and dungeons scale from a single person to 30 peopleā This would mean a number of things would haft to go in to re designing how they create encounters and instances.
First most mechanics would need to change based on player count and what roles are present
Difficulty options would haft to have a huge variety of scaling in HP and damage which would require a MASSIVE amount of testing and even then would have inconsistent difficulty.
Other content would need to be compromised to make time for the excessive time needed to develop and balance even a single boss.
This would lead to smaller and fewer dungeons and raids each expansion. Any kind of difficulty the game presented would likely be dissolved. At this point we would take the āWorld ofā part away and take things back to just Warcraft. The people part of the world is a huge selling point to literally thousands of us who play this game to have fun with there guilds and friends. You sector of the community is rather un reasonable asking Blizzard to compromise a big part of the game identity because you are board.
Not every game is for every person. Donāt expect developers to change there game for a minority or individual. Different games different strokes. If you dislike the fundamental multiplayer aspects of the game then maybe it is time to look for another game that caters more towards your interests.
