I mean, they were fine on the Eastern battlegroup, and now we’re back to a single battlegroup, so…

Removing faps and lips isn’t as massive of change as removing a druids ability to shift out of CC. They made that change in TBC iirc, where profession items weren’t allowed in BG’s or arenas. Tbh I think that’s most fair. Winning should come down to outplaying your opponent, not out sending them. And in regards to duels I always thought it was dumb that engineering items take “skill” but pots don’t, stupid double standard imo.

I agree with this but overall i want less major changes than more to classic. Separating queues gives everyone the same mechanical game experience just allows people who have limited amount of time to play the game to actually enjoy a bg rather than spend 30min to and hour finding a premade and getting less time in

I’m not against a casual queue for people who just want to have fun. But like I said before it should award no honor or rep. If you’re not willing to face the better players in premades you don’t deserve the rewards imo. Luckily this won’t be an issue in TBC.

Then should they change the honor system now to award no honor if youre a premade facing a pug and win? Seems like an illogical argument

Those running premades to grind honor make BGs essentially unplayable for solo players. 9 out of 10 ABs are against a premade. Then half of the games against PuGs are with a partial premade on your own side. Maybe one in twenty games do you actually get a decent PuG vs PuG game. This is a bad experience for those who do not want to join a try hard premade group.

For those of you who are going to screan #nochanges, then fine. I want it back to only being able to BG against your own server. That should reduce the total number of premades we have to deal with.

This is great in mindset but anything that pulls apart the playerbase hurts q times. Arena destroyed bg’s in TBC. It became a breeding ground for those that wanted easy honor gear as a replacement for anything else.

Break premades and the honor farmers will still find a way to ruin casual pvp because its the only way they can game the system to rank.

The issue isnt premades, the issue is players wanting to destroy pugs and avoid actual skillful pvp matches to attain high ranks/sell high ranks.

Its going on on my server already - buying a place on the rankers premade.

Not really. You can’t opt out facing better players/teams without also opting out of the rewards imo. Same way you can’t get mythic raid gear if you decide to do LFR

This is not true. TBC introduced Honor gear that was really crappy. The blue honor pvp set was terrible. The only GOOD gear you could buy with honor were the pieces of gear that you didnt get from arenas

Arena gear: Head, shoulder, chest, gloves, legs, Weapons
Honor gear: Neck, Cape, Bracers, Belt, Boots, Rings,

It wasnt until the end of an arena season and the release of the new season gear were you able to purchase the previous season gear with honor. So even then youre still at a 10-20% disadvantage than those who could actually get the higher rating for the current season gear. I PUGd alot of bgs in tbc because i always wanted to keep my neck rings boots belt ect as good as i could to compete with better arena players but i was a 1600-1700 arena player at best.

But this didnt ruin bgs and make premades a dominating force

Lets say i want to play wsg because i love wsg and i also want access to the rep rewards. Should i have to face 100 premades a day to find only 1 game thats made up as a pug that maybe i can get a flag cap or 2 for some rep? The premades will pop hundreds of gold in consumes just to make sure i dont get a single kill let alone a cap that will extent their daily rank time by 2 mins.

i already answered this

EDIT: Also if your logic is people shouldnt get rewards for casual play. Then remove rep rewards from AB AV and WSG so that you cant get anything from casual play ever.

Yes I ignored that first bit because it’s silly to say you can’t reach atleast r11 without a premade if you have the (wait for it…) TIME.

People who want premades seperated claim they just want to have fun. I’m saying give the seperate queue option. Honor BG’s and casual BG’s, casual BG’s are just for fun, no rewards, if you want the rewards queue for honor BG’s every player has a choice. I’m not saying solo queuers shouldn’t get rewards

No. Im happy to not compete for rank gear but i want my wsg legs and bracer thank you. I also want my AB boots for passive run speed + mithril spurs for world grinding, ab cloak and ill keep my av ring (only until i loot chrom boots then i can vendor it for my CoAF).

except thats exactly what you said. People already are getting rewards and opting out of facing better players. So i dont see how separating queues would be a different scenario.

Idk how it is on your server but on mine the high rank players are all in premades pvping like 18 hours a day.
So with your logic youre saying someone solo qing winning ,lets say 50% of their games with the suggesting q separation of pugs vs premade qs, is going to be able to put the same amount of honor up as a premade queueing for the same amount of time each day but winning lets say as little as 65% of their games.

Ill wait for you to do the math

It was more of a satirical reply to show the flawed logic

And i typed it anyway!

Once again, socialism fails…

Socialism is already in the game with AV rep rewards.
Imagine playing av on the week it released and getting 4 purples for your class that you got going from neutral to exalted in under a week.

Or imagine that all the people who got high ranks (12+) when av first came out by afking in av all day as a bot?
