Oh, so being a good player and wanting to play with other good players is an exploit now, in an MMO of all things. Oh well, you can’t reason with stupid I guess. I’m glad you’ll never be able to get to rank 12+ and find it funny that you call a group of good players cheaters. All you want is for good players to carry you to wins in pugs… not gonna happen. Want welfare gear? Go back to… you know.
Premade vs premade is the equivalent of pg vs pug in terms of difficulty.
The only people asking for free wins/carries and the premades wanting to fight pugsa.

I won’t ever get to rank 12, or don’t ever intend to. The game is designed for you to join with a certain number of people, not an entire group. You thinking it’s OK to exploit the intended the design of the game makes you a cheater.

Pro tip if youre team is good you win games faster than any pug can. This will net you more honor than any pug match in shorter times
Any they will. If you are good you will get more honor than the pugs because you are winning more frequently and with less time invested.
i can only speak for myself when i talk about vanilla pvp but to put things into perspective.
Nathrezim - Low pop PVP server
I solo queued EXCLUSIVELY and hit r10 alone in less time than it takes to hit r10 now (maybe by 1 or 2 less weeks).
I also hit AB exalted before i even hit rank 10
Premades werent as much of a problem in vanilla for 3 reasons
XRBGS werent a thing from the start of vanilla
Server pops were half the size
The honor system didnt have addons to view the progress of every person on your faction and see how much everyone is earning.
not comparable because you clearing content with the same 40 people every week doesnt effect the person who pugs the same content every week
I agree with this to an extent. One way they can alleviate the alliance queueing as a “pug” together is that you make premades gain 50% more honor at all times (hks, Bg honor ticks, win bonus) and make it so you cant progress past r10 (or 11) WITHOUT being in a premade.
THIS. I love to pvp. I dont enjoy “man we arent winning this in under 9 minutes just give up so we can get in the next match”. I join BGs to FIGHT people. Not win in sub 10 minutes to wait in a queue again.
Also finding a premade isnt just “go find one” Many of them require massive use of consumes, engi maxed out, and minimum gear requirements. Only 1 of which i agree with in this list.
Why are there always these super harsh anti-premade comments made on these threads, mostly by warriors. I mean at least this post is from a main and not some alt, but still.
A few things first, I have no problem with pug vs pug and premade vs premade but I do worry that it will change the meta and I do not consider this to be a good thing. I also said from the start I preferred same server queues like in Vanilla for a number of reasons, mainly I prefer to fight people on my own realm.
Ok so here’s another harsh, over the top comment. Just some notes on it.
#1 Blizzard gave the ability to join as a full premade in WSG and AB. This mimics the Vanilla experience as there were premades then. It is not cheating in an MMORPG to run with a group of players just like it’s not cheating to be in a guild and raid with the guild.
#2 Getting the most honor in these games involves running off and getting HKs instead of focusing on objectives such as holding bases in AB, defending the flag room in WSG and flag carrying. Therefore, the people getting the most honor are getting carried by their (pug) teammates who are the ones winning the games for them.
#3 I did a lot of PUGs and did a lot of premades and enjoyed the premades WAY more, not because we got more honor but because I was playing with other people. I don’t play WoW Classic to solo, if I like that I’d be playing retail.
#4 There is nothing really fun about being a flag carrier or healer in PUGs, and I did both. You get verbally abused constantly including in whispers and chat. Say for example there is one healer out of 15 and 9 warriors. Warrior #8 will run out onto the road and start fighting and then send nasty whispers about how he died. It’s just not fun. Not to mention being yelled at after nobody peels. Flag carrying is really fun sometimes but when the team doesn’t back you up it’s not fun and that happens a lot.

Why diminish the value of what I’m saying by calling out that I’m a warrior? Again, more irrelevant points. I don’t even really have a horse in this race, I PvP a few times a week at best.
I will retract my statements if you can find me a single Blizzard post, statement, article, or otherwise confirming their intentions for the PvP system in classic to be exploited.
Your 2nd and 4th point exempt you from having to have any skill against a pug. And your 3rd point tells me you should enjoy premade vs. premade just as much as you enjoy exploiting the current honor system.

The people that have a problem with Premade V Premade are the same people who would dodge queue other Premades because it won’t be an easy win, and that’s a very large majority.
Guarantee that queues would be extremely long for Premade Vs. Premade because you can no longer take the easy route, and that’s what most people get into premades for, not for pvp but for easy honor.

Premades doesn’t mean exploit, but please keep coming up with your own version of how things really are.
I pugged hundreds of times on the way to rank 14 but of course “I PVP a few times a week at best” is the expert.
Editing this part: The points I was trying to make is that not everyone enjoys pugging and people who do not enjoy pugging have various reasons for it. Having more fun playing with others is a good reason. The thing about the honor was a point made because you decided to say getting good honor in these games means you’re playing right which is not necessarily the case.
Oh and I very much prefer premade vs premade, they are by far the most fun.

You’re claiming that maintaining level ranges and team sizes is useless… those do quite a lot to try to create fair games. But I’m sure that everyone who does BG’s pre 60 or has had a teammate replaced after someone leaves agrees those are totally useless.
Basically you just don’t like that the system already does have match making designed to at least attempt to create fair games.

That’s great, so split the Q’s into Pug V Pug and Premade V Premade.
So many threads defending this Premade V Pug thing, all those people would be easily weeded out as all they’re looking for is a quick 5 minute stomp and their free honor.
I’ve seen so many premades get wiped at BS once in AB when put up against another premade and don’t bother to res afterwards it’s absolutely pathetic.

I’m sure they can find ways, there are plenty of games where the premades and pugs are split and they don’t have that problem.
