End It. Please. (Warcraft 4 Time)

I thought fortnite was free to play?

People pay for lootboxes and microtransactions, from what I hear, some spend tens of thousands.

A lot of people at my work talk about it, they think it’s basically the greatest game ever made and for many the only game they play. And for some it’s the only game they’ve ever played.

That’s insane. Isn’t loot boxes illegal yet?!

I’d take it a step further and say that Warcraft 4 should start directly after Warcraft 3. In other words, WoW would no longer be considered canon in the Warcraft series.

They aren’t, you can buy “Loot Pinata” or “Loot Llamas” from what my co-workers say. It’s a loot box shaped like a llama pinata.

And they aren’t illegal yet, they’ve just been ruled as harmful to children and gambling in the EU. Not even that, a commission report basically suggested imposing limitations because of the harm they’re doing.

Apparently children have gambling tendencies now, at a much higher and frightening rate than previous generations.

Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes

YESSSSSSSSS!

ALL of THIS!

No more OC BS – No more making the player the “Legendary Hero” – Give the ACTUAL characters the spotlight!

You mean the characters we seem intent on killing so we can take their clothes and weapons like filthy corpserobbers?

Yeah, be nice to see them not all turn into evil idiots so we can loot them for… “reasons.”

PvP doesn’t even require this stupid story.

The Battle Royale is free, the single player campaign is like ten bucks or something.

It’s free with microtransactions, loot stuff, and whatnot.

Skins/shops/etc

Fortnite makes a killing apparently on small but repeat purchases.

It only has the skins. I have a little nephew with his own Xbox. So I know everything about Fortnite, whether I like it or not.

I do not like therefore is trash! Wahh!

Just go play something else.

what makes you think they could do any better of a job on a new game?

Not sure if serious. If serious I’d like to know what you’re smoking

Without the limitations of players they can take any risks with the story. The nature of an MMO means nobody can lose, no races can suffer too much.

There always has to be a stalmate, basically.

And certain things just never progress because of limitations.

As things are we’re going to repeat the same faction story every few years, Horde goes from seeking redemption or survival/trying to build a home to sudden homicidal maniacs, Alliance gets beat, rinse, repeat.

We could actually have some closure on both factions goals, or even better the races goals, in a game that isn’t an MMO.

I feel like Legion was the first time we moved the goal post storywise, not wrapped it up.

In Legion & Chronicles 3 we finally got solid answers/retcons about Sargeras & old gods & the universe & Azeroth.

Ending at Legion would be like ending Lost during Season 4 because they got off the Island. We got to go back to the Island Kate, I’ve got to see how it ends.

The problem with wiping the slate clean is that as much as I invest in worrying about the lore i’m actually still here for the game first (even if my playstyle is a little abnormal). WC4 isn’t something I automatically take an interest in just because its Warcraft.

Yeah, so go play another game if you don’t like this one. You don’t speak for me or the majority of the playerbase.

I’m glad you’re enjoying it, many people enjoy things that are bad. Like the Room.
