Always here to support cross faction grouping. Factions are an old, decrepit, archaic way to play this game, and they’ve caused far more damage than they’ve solved. Just let us group you and play what we want with our friends.

I hear you. Good news that you don’t have to play with anyone that you don’t want to in this game.
Granted, I hope, hope, hope, they preserver your wishes. I 100% want the ability to cross faction raid/party/speak - but not at the cost of those who wish to keep the faction divide.
They need to implement limitations. I want them to extend the b-tag system into WoW, so that you need to form connections. However, if they just open things up, then they need to implement opt-outs. Check boxes for being able to understand the opposite faction when speaking (then a check box for individuals characters for those friends you do want to be able to read). Check boxes for LFR/LFG to state same faction only.
I hope they implement cross faction end-game pve before the next expac, but at least by the next expac. Yes, and please!

I’ll pass on this unless a 3rd faction is added because that is the only way to to not have obscene wait times for grouping

If Horde and Alliance are going to join the same covenants and hang out together around the same sanctuaries, might as well be able to group together.

Outside of Merc mode for pvp cross faction grouping should be limited to pve content . No warmode or any form of rated pvp cross faction grouping.
Or they could just do better instead of relying on out dated game designs that serve no function in modern gaming.
This is why I que merc and use an orb of deception.

The story has been teetering on the verge of us being able to group up for pve content at least for some time. Allowing it would solve a huge number of faction based issues such as imbalance of raiding achievements. You can keep the story elements that keep us apart and have them play out in pvp… heck maybe ad some story elements to the pvp experience and improve the story telling ability for pve content.
I used to be heavily against cross faction grouping, but now? I can think of nothing better than skipping happily through an instance with Briselody, Rhielle, Rhay, Quenya, and whatever other cute night elf babe we can scoop up 
What if you could group with them but your AOE spells would damage them and such
they need to let people learn languages from other races and then group cross faction.
You can cross faction Arena already though.
