Create a Beta server with proving grounds mage tower encounters and a few old raid bosses that have mechanics expected to be troublesome to balance around covenant abilities. Also Enable time walking dungeons and M+ Enable all the Shadowlands effects and systems.
Also allow toggling on and off of getting fully healed at 0% hp
This would produce an extremely controlled data set with many variables eliminated. This would allow for rapid iterations of tuning to take place.
Really I’m surprised “Beta Grounds/Tower” doesn’t already exist, I think about the covenant abilities and the mage tower challenges and it seems like that would be a perfect scenario to see how players utilize the new systems and how they compare.
I know they want a holistic experience as well, but you have an entire player base to produce data sets for you, no reason you can’t do both.
