That’s pretty easy, this phase is the part where they need to see how the public access portion owns.
Or else it would not have been public.

I think this is a good sign. We need an alpha before a beta anyway, right? This is an awesome step forward!
Uh about the time we saw CDN changes a few days ago?
After the storm that was the reaction to the demo, you really think Blizzard is going to let the public get their hands on “beta”, let alone “alpha”??
Real Talk for a moment. The public lost their minds when it came to dungeon finder being in the demo even after being told that it was just a barebones system and not removed yet. They looked at everything under a microscope as if it was a finished product and not just a technical demo and flamed blizzard for it.
You’re going to get a stress test beta or a beta lasting a month at most, because Blizzard knows any product they go public with is going to be dissected by Private server players ad infinitum.
They won’t release a beta until they’re sure they’re 99%+ accurate, because the last thing a gamble like Classic WoW needs is a million clickbait youtube videos made by hacks titled “You won’t BELIEVE what they ADDED to CLASSIC WoW!!”
So alpha just started then? If Alpha just started doesn’t that mean Beta is a while away?
No idea. The employee alpha could become a FnF alpha in two weeks for all we know.
It does not mean employee alpha just started, the phase just started.
They should just invite everyone to Beta except Druid players. That seems fair.
As long as they work of the first character that the account created in November 2004, no worries there.
West coast best coast
Shame that the modern WoW team doesn’t communicate with us about these things.
Oh well, tell the team to keep up the great work, Bornakk!
^^ This. The devs have been playing internal alphas since development began. The “phase” is what we saw when it initially went up.
When they first put a build on the CDN, it failed. It literally wouldn’t download. Successive builds have fixed those issues and now that it’s working to a point where people who it wasn’t intended for, have it, they’re not raising too many new builds.
It looks like the phase of testing the deployment of the client is successful so far.
If its a short phase, we may see a FnF Alpha soon. If its not a short phase, it may take some time, or we may never see an Alpha or even a Beta.
I’d be happy with a 2 week stress test only if it meant releasing it immediately after.
Those the same players saying that locks current demon shouldn’t disappear until after the cast? Asking for a friend.
They should not invite anyone who has a 120 allied race. Lol.
No, I mean the actual contributors to their github forks and not random memesters.
I have two.
So I get rejected twice which turns into an invite.
Those were the most adamant people on warlock summons.
You’re gonna have to link this for me, I don’t recognize a single name.
Eh, Nano on the Classic Cast podcast got ribbed by Tips for fighting for the warlock summon. At least Nano admitted when he was wrong.
Nano has always been a complete clown. He was a softspoken idiot when we raided together and he continued to be an idiot when given a position of authority on the server.
