Unless they plan to keep with Beta for Azeroth… that would be a really bad decision to rush it out.

Guess if they can pull it off…makes sense they would try and time it when a lot of sinking boat subs would be expiring.
Yes im a terrible person because i think the guy who does heroic raiding deserves better rewards then the guy who just do queable content an world quest.
How awful of me for thinking that diffcult content should have better rewards then world quest…
But once again if its blizzard will that gear is no longer the end game reward they need to add others

Blizzard should recheck their math. The 360 and 385 gear that drops from WQ and emissaries is already over the 350 needed to get into crucible, so why bother using that as an excuse?

At this point of the patch heroic BoD and +10 gear is the normal gear everyone should have. Just do mythic BoD and wq gear is irrelevant minus titanforge procs.

Because participation in group activities is often prioritized by one’s iLvl. This will continue, fair or not. With this gear now being so easy to get, some folks who are more likely to have worked hard on improving their play may now get passed over in favor of people who have done nothing to improve their play.
I understand that your question was intended to passive-aggressively tell others that they are being unreasonable and that you are above it all, but a truly kind and intelligent person would take a moment to consider how things look from others’ perspective. Thanks!

Given that raiding is statistically a fairly small percentage of the playerbase, and Blizzard spend a lot of their resources on developing new raids compared to other MMOs, I think part of the logic here is to make sure that more players are experiencing the raid experience and actually playing these major bits of content that otherwise get ignored by a sizeable portion of the playerbase.
At least, that’s my take on it. Whether it’s a good idea or not is obviously going to vary from individual to individual, but I sort of get it from a dev perspective in that you want the bulk of the playerbase to actually play this content you’re devoting so many resources to.

Mythic Raids have been opened to Cross Realm. That is the signal that the competive scene is over for the tier.
Think about it. Everything is boosted to Heroic ilvls. Mythic is open to cross realm. The tier is over. Use your OP gear to try Heroic or Mythic raids, if normal was invalidated.

Ah yes, slippery slope it again. Pretend that people doing heroic aren’t going to go in and do heroic Crucible and aren’t already sitting around 410. Because that’s an entirely legitimate argument.

I dont care if timmy stands in fire wq guy can get a high item level but for the peiple that do heroic an now with months left of the current teir all there effort in gearing up can be invalidated by dailies blizzard should add some kinda of meaningful reward for the people that do heroic raids not just a stupid feat of strength
If gear is no longer a meaningful reward for the heroic player then why can blozzard add something else for there accomplishments?

That would destroy their time played metric. But yeah they ruined gear progression and I stopped giving a damn about gear once titanforging, tritiary and sockets were introduced. At most +5 or +10 ilvls is okay but when you can run forever and never get a bis I can’t be bothered. Though Legion was so fun I didn’t care.
You’ve gotten a 3 month head start over those who haven’t done 10+ keystones or Heroic BoD, and you’ll be able to stay ahead of the Joneses with CoS drops that we still won’t get. Casuals will never really catch up to players who play regularly in higher end group content, so you can still have your epeen stroked. This at least gives me something to do with my main, since moving to Korea and working 6 days a week has drastically reduced my ability to do stuff.

You realize its a catchup mechanic right? Theres still a whole nother raid tier left and the 395 is meant to keep the casuals close and keep it to where if people left during the first or second half can come back and pickup right? Its not about you so wipes the snot bubbles and put your big boys pants on. If you have a problem with catchup mechanics you probably should stop playing because blizzard is going to continue doing them. Also, it for people that have alts and would like to switch off without feeling like they will be behind months instead of a week to 2 weeks.

I think words like “epeen” and “casual” are much more barf worthy
Still don’t know what defines a casual in this game. Been a player for years and there seems to be no fine line for what makes a player a “casual”

I don’t get what was wrong with catch up mechanics being at the end of the expansion.
What exactly was wrong with progressing our characters through previous content?
This play the patch instead of the expansion is just not immersive.
