In order for the word “emergency” to be used, someone or people who work at Blizzard have noticed something to cause that particular word to be thrown out. It’s not exactly common for Blizzard to throw that word out in the open and shut servers down instantly unless it was something worth doing it for.
Which is why I was simply inquiring what they saw.
Do I expect a response? No.
But it never hurts to ask when they have time to reply what the cause may or is for the sudden shutdowns.
I saved my UI setup, but when I portaled into Stormwind from Boralus, everything was smooshed together. Neither reloading the UI from the saved profile nor importing helped. Thankfully I was able to fix it, and it’s taking less time each time I have to fix it. My inner cynic wonders if this is Blizzard’s way of training players to use the UI customization.
nearly any explanation would do…
it could be terse…we’d accept it
as we have always done.
most of us are loyal to the game…
i started mid vanilla…and i’m still
waiting around with several active
battlenet sub-accounts…
it’s easy to be polite…and awkward to be rude.
When you saved your UI set up were you asked to give it a name? I’ve been on 10 of my toons with one standard set up for all of them and haven’t had any issues.
The problem isn’t the idea of a new UI. The problem is the new UI is implemented in a… to be polite… incomplete way.
Can’t move or resize XP bar;
Can’t resize minimap;
Can’t move or resize command buttons in lower-right;
Button to resize chat window is not easily found;
Glitch occurring where the game will “forget” UI setups when some players log out;
There are more issues, but hopefully you get the point. The current “updated” UI is Beta-grade, at best, and really should have received a lot more attention and polishing, before being pushed out to the retail realms.
