UPDATE: Confirmed 1 hour FOR NOW on the maintenance. Still no explanation.
Itâs ok everyone. Lets all do the chant again, like last night!
âOga Boga, Oga Boga, Servers Up, Servers Up!â
twitter said down for approximately an hour. But who truly knows how long. could be 12 hrs again could be 30 min.
They probably left it up long enough to make sure people didnt miss their daily horseman completion for the event.
bump bump 123
The product hasnât been released yet. âPre-patchâ is really just another type of beta test. The product is new give it some time.
I remember back when I was just getting started I had an IT job for a big insurance company that ran IBM systems. I learned that some companies loved to be on the leading edge doing beta test and others would wait until someone else tried it out first.
Those doing beta test or early releases accepted the fact that they were running new products and that there would be bugs that had to be fixed. Itâs just the nature of the software industry.
I really hope so, my poor 5600xt seemed to be having random strokes last night for no reason.
People have been reporting issues with the new UI not saving changes, so perhaps they are quickly fixing issues like that.
Itâs Broke, they fixâŚ
This is what the community managers are for, but they wonât post about it until after everyone else already knows.
Youâre speaking to me as if I havenât been playing this game for almost 15 years. Iâm very well aware prepatch has its quirks, which is why I asked politely what the sudden explanation for âemergency maintenanceâ was from so that those of us who take the time to read patch notes can see what is being hotfixed or what was discovered to result in emergency maintenance that wasnât scheduled already for next Tuesday.
That would be nice. Having to futz with the UI for an hour was annoying. Having to set it up again and again more so.
There was an emergency and they needed to do maintenance.
yeah that was surprising - I just got on and 4 min to shut down message. I guess I didnât want to play live at all.
Iâm glad I have to work in a couple hours, sucks to everyone who isnât working and wanted to play.
Bad form on Blizzâs part to just drop the servers without warning though.
A lot of people have been reporting significant FPS drops after the pre-patch went live.
I would assume this maintenance has something to do with that.
Yeah bleeding edge of technology here, implementing addon features people have been using for like a decade, lol.
maybe theyâll surprise us and add some contentâŚ
like the primalist invasionsâŚ
that would be cool, however unlikely!
I took my system out of DriectX12 and in to 11 legacy mode this morning. My stuttering seems to have settled down a bit.
Itâs not really maintenance if itâs an emergency, is it now? Maintenance is done in order to prevent problems.
