I only have enough materials to create one crafted item, and I was thinking of making a warglaive. The flavor pocket sounds pretty cool, since it would save me a lot of food (and possibly let me have the 10% hp food buff in battle grounds persist through death), but i was wondering if I do mostly mythic dungeons for wnd game content, would this embellishment be a complete waste of a spot on my weapon?
Should I save the flavor pocket embellishment for a lesser item, and go with a damage embellishment like the Blue Silken Lining?

Flavour pocket doesnt count towards emblishment limit so keep that in mind.

I noticed that, but i probably wont have the materials to make another item any time soon, so for all practical purposes, the embellishments will be limited regardless.
For me, the flavor pocket sounds more fun, but on wowhead it says that that embellishment is more of a quality of life buff.
It does nothing if you dont die but having a 2 hour food buff last through death is also powerful if you tend to die alot. Lariet neck is much more valuable on basically every class/spec due to the proc though.
I’ll have to double check, but i didnt think that one was available for a weapon slot. If it is, it would essentially be like a perma food buff, which would be pretty nice.
You can embellish a weapon, my bow has the +Mastery Embellishment on it.

If you only have ONE, your choice should go like this:
1> Lariat
2> Lariat
3> Lariat
4> Lariat
5> Lariat
Not even kidding, the Lariat is so stupidly, brokenly OP, it really shouldn’t even be in the game.
How much so?
Before making mine, I simmed a variety of other gear/possibilities and they all gave what you would expect for a SINGLE piece of gear: about a 700-900 dps upgrade.
The Lariat was just over 2,000.
It’s broken beyond belief and the only thing that saves it is that, TECHNICALLY, anyone can get one.
So do yourself that favor: and get a Lariat first.

How is it so stupidly OP? At 418 level with an uptime of 30%, it gives the equivalent of about 165 static secondary stat boost. How is that adding 2k dps? Am I missing something?
I love the flavor pocket embellishment, it goes well with my pandaren food buffs too!
I also have the 405 elemental lariat as well.
2h food buff that persists through death is great for just about any content.
If the warglaive isn’t going to be replaced by any valor-upgraded or vault drops, then I would suggest either Blue Silken Lining or Fang Adornments over the Flavor Pocket as the first embellishment.
Don’t overlook the Elemental Lariat though – its embellishment is certainly worth the craft, especially properly gemmed to line up with KYE or AMN.
My advice for all DPS players is always to just sim the embellishments on Raidbots. That should give you some idea of what would be best for your character right now.
Sell it or put it on cloak/wrists.
