Emails being sent out giving "Warnings" to people who were in GDKP's

You ran GDKP (which you are clearly in favor of as it’s your second choice method of raiding) and they warned you that it is against ToS starting tomorrow.

It’s appropriate. You earned it. It doesn’t hurt you.

You are being watched

Yeah, that’s a pretty apt analogy.

Unfortunately you’ll find no empathy here, OP. Irrespective of whether Blizzard is making bad decisions and having poor customer service, a lot kf players hate GDKP so their monke brains say to applaud every decision Blizzard makes and accuse anyone who disagrees of being a bot or a gold buyer.

Honestly the guy isn’t wrong to be worried about a false ban. It’s not like it’s never happened before. It sucks they got flagged and put on a list for this to potentially happen. But I mean like all false bans they can appeal and hit the CS forums.

I feel the guys worry though, it’s not out of the realm of possibility for the dude to get hit with some weird automation ban. I mean bots were grouping up and mass reporting people less than 2 months ago and triggering the automated warning system.

I wouldn’t assume the dude bought gold just because he partook in a GDKP, he seems pretty real with his responses.

I wont be satisfied until gold buying and botting is banned completely. But i have a sneaking suspicion they are not doing it because blizzard knows its a huge portion of their annual revenue of wow subscriptions. This is just a publicity move by blizzard to satisfy the naive.

No one in this thread is supporting or defending GDKP. You are fighting ghosts, schizo, or trolling.

No I’m laughing at people on a watch list for their past misdeeds who are mad they are on the list they should be on.

It’s just a game. It hardly compares to the IRS sending you a warning…now THAT would be cause for concern.

Note the deliberate use of the ellipsis.

They also accused OP of “exploitative action” and “inappropriate behaviour”, which is patently false.

All you have to do is not run another GDKP and being on a list means literally nothing. You can’t accidentally break this rule, and it there isn’t any ambiguity about whether or not it’s happening. False flags won’t happen.

Swipers huffing copium rn. Where are all the people saying Blizz wasn’t gonna enforce? It’s not even Feb 8 yet and they’re already warning people.

Always a bad idea to engage in an activity right before it’s bannable. Whether you agree or not you’re threading the line and now it got you on a watchlist.

They could auto ban you for whispering someone advertising gdkp. Who knows how they emailed all these people. My alt that never ran a gdkp got a warning, all characters level 1. Only used it to advertise for wsg and raids. Sooo i dont trust blizz on this one. Gl everyone stay safe.

Yes bro, I’m just running GDKP’s with 10 bis people, because that’s how you make the big bucks right?

Yes.

I appreciate that you listened to the very real and possible threat out there for everyone, not just those who have GDKPed. Happy to see that at least one person out there can see reason.

This is actually wrong. Most bots have stolen accounts from already existing players. And if they don’t they use the currency exchange in countries where the cost per month is like 4-5 dollars a month by ordering (or stealing) mass debit cards from those countries and mass purchasing accounts.

It really isn’t lucrative for Blizzard considering the amount of time, energy, and development, and most importantly $$$$ to combat bots and GDKP. Just having enough Customer Support to follow through with all the reports people input for bots is probably mind blowing.

You wouldn’t be on “The list” if you were innocent would you?

Our solar system could also get swallowed into a black hole any second.

I wish, please.
