Tyrande wants nothing to do with the Alliance. She wants revenge on Sylvanas for burning her home.
What Ferlion has been saying was completely idiotic. But the trolling part. I was referring to you.
Tyrande and the horde player throw a wrench into that idea at the bare minimum, unfortunately. Tyrande being the victim of a genocide through her people and the horde player canonically being, at best, a nominal supporter of it. Hell, Baine is too, up to a smaller point.
This is not, as it were, her stance.
She makes pretty clear that she will not sign a treaty for peace until Sylvanas is dead. She has made no such claims of abandoning the Alliance, and her stance has softened somewhat towards the Alliance at the end of the Shadowlands book, in part due to Thrall’s work to get a certain undead Night Elf to Stormwind where they gave her to Tyrande.
She also thinks Anduin is being stupid for signing a treaty, but will not do so until Sylvanas is dead. Do not mistake her anger for wanting to abandon the Alliance, even if she is, rightfully, angry at said Alliance.
Literally NO ONE wants that. Exile’s Reach sucks, and going straight to Battle for Azeroth and Shadowlands means the story makes absolutely ZERO sense.
I am fairly certain Blizzard is completely ignoring the Death Knight Legion Campaign when it comes to the Shadowlands.
What he was saying was true. Go through the Legion DK class hall story. And how was I trolling? Where have I trolled you? I think my initial post asking why you were being so confrontational is the first time I have ever responded to you.
You obviously don’t know how furious she is with the Alliance for making peace with the monsters who destroyed her tree. You didn’t even listen to the conversation Tyrande had with Shandris after the armistice being signed.
Cam has an -extremely- wide definition of the term trolling and seems to take almost all opposition to their viewpoints to be an attack of some sort. I wouldn’t worry about it.
He’s the guy who made that big fanfic thread that spiraled out of control in WET and GD before the latter got mod-punted here into the story forum.
I mean, that would really just… you know… add to the drama. Past heroes coming back.
And let’s really take a look at the core cast. Let’s assume a modest time skip based off the DK quest of 1 day equals 1 year. That is, admittedly, a rough go at it but im just spitballing as a hypothetical.
Who would be dead? Mekkatorque is a toss up post Mechagnome. Moria probably, but she wasn’t exactly old. And her son would definitely still be alive. Most of the Elves would still be alive. Considering Rastakhan was gifted long life, good chance Talanji would be.
The only real core cast that would be 100% replaced would be… Genn, who is limited in what he can do because of his age, and Voljin’s kid.
Yes, actually, I did. Which takes place “before” the Shadowlands novel.
We don’t know this. We have no idea how Worgen age, they could be immortal, they could age slower, they could be the same as Humans, they haven’t been around long enough.
The only hint we have is that in worgen form Genn doesn’t feel the aches of old age and fights with the vigor of a young person.
Then you should know that Tyrande still has no interest in the Alliance. She only went to Stormwind because she was curious about Sira, and what had become of her since the Battle for Darkshore.
We will see.
Blizzard can very well do that. We all know Blizzard isn’t the most internally consistent company when it comes to lore. I just think that’s where it’s going. You may very well be right
Maybe I should back up a bit and ask what you have in mind for a time skip period. Because personally, I think that unless it’s being used to paper over this stupid genocide plot point, then I’m not sure what purpose it serves. The fact that elves normally live so long actually serves as a point against it to me.
Edit: I know this is a side nitpick but Bwonsamdi wasn’t happy with Rastakhan living so long, which was a boon that Rezan gave him. It’d be weird for Talanji’s lifespan to be extended.
I’m talking a few hundred years. Enough that the genocide would be blunted except for the long lived races. Distant stories to the Orcs, Tauren and majority of Trolls.
Enough that territories can vastly change, especially with Azshara in the picture still, now at the helm of probably the largest army on Azeroth. Enough that Finel can be a questing companion.
Enough that populations can recover and the resurgence of these nigh-legendary heroes showing up would rock the foundations of Azeroth. Where questing can be us exploring Azeroth again as if it were new, not just kingdoms and locals, but fauna and flora, mutated by Azerite and Fel from Sargeras sword, and everything else fundamentally altered the planets course.
Again, going after the DK lore, assuming every expansion lasts roughly a year to two years… We would be looking at a 300-600 time gap based on our time in Shadowlands. Meet in the middle ground, and you are set.
No way we are jumping that far. At most we will do 10 years.
I was just hoping for maybe 33 years.
One human generation
Yet even more BS.![]()
Bait. Don’t eat that. Tis a vexing ruse
