It doesnt matter if its temptation or not. the fact of the matter is Elune is a force of good/natural order. Old gods are very CLEARLY evil
I think Elune and Azeroth are the same being. The Night Elves only thought the voice was coming from above, when in fact it was coming from below. The Well of Eternity was actually a wound in Azeroth with her blood and energies spilling out.
Elune is to the Night Elves as the Well of Eternity was to the Highborne and the Sunwell to the Blood Elves.
They’re still addicted to Elune’s stolen light and at the mercy of whatever the Old God muses.
Yea but what they were attributing to the Well and Elune wasn’t coming from above them, it was always Azeroth whether or not they realized it. Since the Well’s energies made them what they are, they were created from trolls sipping on azerite basically. All that power came from the wound when Aman’Thul ripped Y’Shaarj off of the planet. At no time did that power ever truly come from the moon.
She’s also the ONLY one called a goddess. The others are called Wild Gods, Loa, etc, etc, etc.
She’s the only one without a special term. She’s just a Goddess.
But there is something on or in the moon. We know this due to Ysera being turned into a constellation, conveniently adding to the sea of stars surrounding the moon.
Yes, but is she hot?
Even with her current power boost, I wouldn’t put Sylvanas above Elune.
Many modern stories have restrictions imposed on gods interacting with the real world. And when they do, its typically a huge thing.
Turning Ysera into a celestial being has been one of the few times she has interacted with the world. This implies she has reasons she doesn’t interact with the world habitually.
I was joking there with Sylvanas and Nathanos’ insane and sudden powerups. I agree Elune should be way ahead of both.
I posted this before in another thread awhile back…
I like my tinfoil hat theory, Tyrande dying…and the Arbiter is actually imprisoned Elune, and Tyrande frees her by replacing her as the next Arbiter, thus avoiding her own death. (I know its a bit wild).
From the same exact page:
- He was also referred to by Jeremy Feasel as an “Old God type creature”. Though it is a “true” Old God, it is an artificial one with a different origin than the others and a weaker level of power (though still beyond even some of the most powerful loa).
I honestly was looking for research to say otherwise. :L
I actually really like the assumption of Elune being an old god and is a prisoner on moon.
Here is your info regarding the fifth old god.
- The Warcraft III manual, as well as the Old Gods and the Ordering of Azeroth in-game book, stated that five Old Gods were chained beneath the world.[25][60]
- In reference to this discrepancy about the number of Old Gods found in The Old Gods and the Ordering of Azeroth, Nyorloth commented that “Perhaps to actually destroy something that lives outside of time and space, life and death, you would have to erase it from existence completely”[61] implying that there were, in fact, originally five who landed on Azeroth, but one of them was completely destroyed. One of the possible origins of Xal’atath refers to this comment and suggests that its counterparts were the cause of its annihilation.
- According to the War of the Ancients Trilogy , there are three Old Gods actively trying to escape their prison. There may be more, however; the Three are indicated to have formed a sort of alliance in order to escape their imprisonment. However, according to a legend Krasus describes, there were only ever three.[8]
- World of Warcraft: Chronicle Volume 1 finally establishes that there were four Old Gods on Azeroth, and since Y’Shaarj was slain this would agree with Krasus’s statement that there were three trying to escape
This is the new “Jaina is a dreadlord” because Horde players have nothing better to do than design good fanfiction which ultimately blows up in their faces.
eeeeeeeh hardly convincing
This is about as convincing as “Sylvanas is our cutie. Teldrassil will be shown as an inside job where the evil Jaina Dreadlord and Genn burned it out of spite to start the war”.
Fun crackpot, but I think Elunaria pretty much tells us there’s a titan/Eonar connection. Plus the Tears of Elune is one of the Pillars of Creation, which are titan constructs named after the titan pantheon.
So I’m pretty sure that we’re going to find stuff out about Elune that leads us to the Titan homeworld.
(aka you Night Elves fanboys need to relax)
And? There can be an Elune that exists, and something pretending to be Azeroth’s version of Elune.
Seriously, if the Tear of Elune is so powerful, how can Xavius easily corrupt it and the Aspect in charge of guarding it?
Same way Ra-den got easily corrupted
Ra-Den ran headlong into N’Yalotha, not the same thing.
