Trying to learn to tank in Time walking dungeons and group boots me cause I wasnt pulling every single mob on the floor (because I’m trying to learn). Now I got a deserter debuff for 30minutes cause of a bunch of elitist dont want to spend 20min in a dungeons and give me a chance to learn. What kind of backwards system is this?

If people don’t wanna play with somebody else for whatever reason and the majority agrees then they can be removed. I could get lobbed for pulling the entire instance and running non-stop boss from boss. Or skipping a quest item people need. Or an optional boss.

Blizzard really needs to address the toxicity against healers and tanks. Pugs have become hard to join because said roles are rare now.

I wouldn’t take it to heart.
I got booted last week because I didn’t go along a specific path two people wanted me to go along.
(I’d been doing it all day), I said ‘it doesn’t matter which one we do first you’ll have to go along both paths and I already had mobs on me.

This exact thing almost happened to me last night. I was on my tank and maybe I wasn’t pulling fast enough for maybe I was taking too much damage. I don’t know. It is a PVP geared alt Warrior. My wife told me a vote came up to kick me and she and my friend voted no. I asked them who and we continued the dungeon as normal. On the last boss, I initiated a vote to kick them and it passed.
They got the boot without being able to loot the boss. Hopefully they got a desserter debuff as well.
Make a couple friends and turn the tables on anyone that tries to do stuff like that.

Game is pretty trash for new players.
Biggest reason is the community.
And they wonder why the population now is pretty much “Oops, all tryhards!”
I’m very sure it’s only gonna get worse lol, as the game ages.

Just do a big pull and learn that way. It will teach you a lot faster how to deal with a situation when crap hits the fan.
And if you say you can’t learn that way then idk maybe don’t tank.

I dare say that’s it close to impossible to put a system in place that someone can’t abuse. Blizz, nor anyone else has found it yet. Sucks, game changes but players are pretty much the same.
Not the best way to learn is using a live group.
You can get a group of friends to que with you if you choose to go that direction to help you learn.
Most likely the best way to learn is to use follower dungeons. Randoms que puggs won’t have the patience.
