Major part implies that if it was gone the divide would have been lessened and I absolutely do not agree with that.

You could replace every elf with another race in every role they played this expansion and nothing would have changed in terms of the playerbase’s reaction.

This isn’t true. If there were trolls in Teldrassil rather than Night Elves most folk wouldn’t care half as much.

“What’s that? every race that isn’t a night elf going balance looks incredibly dumb and has zero lore supporting it? who cares, they’re not night elves. In fact how about every nature theme is going to automatically fall within their sphere of influence”

This pretty much sums up my existence since Cataclysm. Balance druids have gone from being nature casters to starmages and it doesn’t make any sense for any of the races that don’t worship Elune to be using star magic so heavily.

Balance used to mostly be nature magic with a few arcane spells thrown in. Now it is purely manipulating powers of the Sun and Moon and occasionally summoning some vines.

That isn’t even how Malfurion fights in the novels. He’s constantly conjuring vines, hurling thorn javelins, or destroying his foes with toxic spores. Why can’t balance druids mimic the balance druid’s fighting style?
