The overall theme and general vibe from the game is more cartoonish and bubbly, less serious tone. Old Warcraft compared to new Warcraft has evolved into a place of rounded edges, no hard corners and guard rails everywhere (when comparing the two).
Not entirely a bad thing also not a good thing, but it is certainly a different meal served up and people aren’t entirely adjusted to the digestion process… Some have to supplement their diet with classic WoW and other variations of the game to keep their diet in check but it all works out.
The new iteration of Ascendance is another rendition of what comes from the new wow it seems. It seems to go for a more robust, eccentric and ridiculous vibe, as in, “Hey! Look at me, I am a visual to behold! Especially compared to the old one!” it certainly has made an impact on people, lets see how well it is received over time.
This new one looks like a cackling, freshly-ascended mortal who can barely contain the power that has literally gone to their head. It’s peak. Instead of ‘gloomy hooded rock man’.
Still looks like Bwonsandi had a baby with an elemental.
