Feels sooo sluggish. I know it’s just honor gear right now but if we can’t get above 20% haste it’s going to be really difficult to land a spell.
Getting to tempest feels almost impossible in BGs or arenas.
Was just gonna make a post that I’m curious about ele & specifically was gonna ask about stormbringer in bg’s. I know the other hero tree is the meta rn, but it’s that bad, huh?
I loved my Lightning build before hero talents in S4. To me it felt smooth and hard hitting. Now with the great reset (as usual with Shaman) it’s going to take until season 3 breaker it starts to feel good again.
In S4 I was focused on hate/ crit and loved it. Now it’s either/or and hopefully that gets cleaned up with conquest gear and crafted items.
Don’t get me wrong though…if we’re able to get a cast off it puts out a lot of damage. I’m going to stick with it bc it’s all I play but will definitely be looking at ways to get at least 25% haste. Then I think it will work pretty good.
Oh and bring THE lightning caster on the battlefield is so fun and satisfying for me. I love it.
I think part of the reason it feels slower is didn’t they nerf lava surge procs?
In s3/4 volcanic surge lava surge procced constantly which shortened the cast time of bolt by a lot. I actually ran zero haste with 90% mastery and 40% crit and it was beastly.
Storm/Lightning won’t work unless you can turret. In small scale pvp like arena/bgb you’re mostly just going to lvb on proc, es, pwave, fs, purge, hex, utility totems. Its almost more of a support spec that can burst every 30 seconds or so. Of course if you get ignored you can pump out lightning, but that’s not always going to happen.
Imo its fine that one of the hero trees is more PVE focused. Most specs in the game are in a similar situation.
Welcome to almost every caster right now. Shadow Priest can’t get anything off before we’re dead either. Frost DK and Fury Warrior are just stomping around doing 2mil DPS with instant casts, unpeelable and nigh unkillable.
With the exception of potentially Frost Mage, this is NOT a caster season my brother.
