The Empyrean Legacy nerf completely destroys the extremely fun play style Holy Paladin’s have had over beta. Crazy such a change is happening less than a week and a half from Midnight early release. Holy Paladin’s were getting close to resto druids in mythic plus rankings, now it is looking like we won’t be close again. It is crazy how much better resto druid is at healing mythic plus yet all the other healers keep getting the nerfs.
Please fix this gameplay changing nerf. There is no mathematical reason to press judgement now. Some ideas off the top of me head:
Don’t nerf it so severely
Keep EL but switch it with a different choice node
Buff judgement or other talents related to it
Change EL to automatically cast LoD a x% effectiveness instead of tied to WoG
I’m sure there is something Blizzard could change, but please don’t nuke this playstyle this close to expansion release

Can you show us this math? While I can certainly see what you mean from a pure HPS perspective, that sounds incredibly unrealistic from actual practice where a healer would want to use dps in downtime to help further save mana.
And personally? As long as infusion of Light makes judgment give 2 holy power, I will find it difficult to see a world where you NEVER touch judgment, you might prioritze FoL infusions when you need to heal, but I would think if you where playing aggressive you would find time to spend infusions on judgment to get more spenders out.
This is a quote from the holy paladin that writes all the guides and helps run the discord.
“The massive nerf to Empyrean Legacy makes Judgment not worth using for healing purposes under any circumstances, and you will be replacing those casts with Flash of Light, with and without Infusion. With Judgment not being worth using, it also means talents such as Hammer of Wrath, Crusaders Might, and Truth Prevails are no longer worth running.
Judgment will still be used in keys for pure damage purposes, but whenever you need healing, Flash of Light is significantly better.
Holy Shock and Flash of Light will be the only generators you cast when you need healing (and Holy Light when needed still obviously).
On top of ruining the playstyle, this change is also a massive and unwarranted nerf, amounting to 8% for Herald and 13% for Lightsmith in raids. I genuinely cannot see what kind of data they are following to justify such a nerf. If the argument is that we were too good in m+ (lmfao) then why nerf a talent that is mostly important in raiding?
It appears to me that the impact on our rotation with this change was not understood by Blizzard, and I sincerely hope we can get this change reverted too.”
I’ll have to redo the math when I have time

Ok, if the math is lining up with what’s being said then that’s that, but this is some of the most overblown doomer stuff I’ve ever read as well so I’m struggling to accept this at face value.
I can more easily accept that herald will deprioritize judgment in their rotation, but I struggle to see a world where Lightsmith would never touch it with how much more frequently they generate infusions then herald, can heal allies on every judgment crit, and have frequent access to the talent that forces their judgments to crit.
Next time show me numbers please, once i see the numbers then I’ll believe this.
You have the top paladin theory crafters and streamers saying it will, numerous holy Paladin’s giving the percentages and reasons why it will effect our rotation so badly. Yet you struggle to see why it will not affect rotation. Where is your math that counters what all of the theory crafters and top paladins are saying? Everyone that I have seen saying this is doomerism, seems to base this on feelings.

Fine then. I’m not going to take turns yelling at a brick wall. if the theorycrafters are right then I’m wrong and I’ll adjust, or it will get fixed and I’ll carry along like i have been. I’m even wasting my breath saying this much.

If they’re making an assertion, the burden of proof for that assertion is on them. Given the post you quoted, I only saw an assertion that FoL would provide more raw throughput healing than Judgment, which seems fair and reasonable to me, as the alternative would probably lead to FoL never being cast at all.
It is reasonable for Regrowth to provide more healing than Moonfire. It is reasonable for Flash Heal to provide more healing than Smite. It is reasonable for Vivify to provide more healing than Tiger Palm.

After playing beta and changes, it is a huge difference. They were correct
Been playing keys in prepatch and seems fine, can’t say anything about beta though.
Pre patch is a joke, you cannot tell what the tuning is actually like unless on beta. You practically do not need a healer on pre patch
On beta there is a significant difference
