This is a joke meme at this point. Between faction issues and the absurd population they allowed on single servers with no adjustments to game world spawns. The core gameplay has been changed.

Shadowlands was always going to happen regardless of Classic. Who gave you the impression that BLizzard wants you to buy Shadowlands if youre a predominant Classic player?? Youre already paying the Sub fee

idk why people hate on blizz so much. theyve provided so much entertainent to so many people including us and around the world. theyve listened to the classic player base so im satisfied. shadowlands, idk. but they did a great job with classic. idk why so many people complain it has its imperfections but what doesnt? theyre p good with getting back to you at least or from my experiences they have. not the BEST but not the worst for sure. gj blizz keep up the good work

Everyone is so over dramatic and takes anything wrong as a personal insult. I have played Blizzard games since before vanilla and they have never wronged me. If I don’t like something I move on. Mistakes are made and fixed.

Its hard to make more and more changes to Classic with the #nochanges crowd ready to pull out the pitchforks and torches over anything. Everyone is complaining about the AV thing but was that how it worked in Vanilla? Did anyone think of it? The playerbase today will seek out any method to get what they want as quickly as they can.

Pretty sure blues stay out of the forums because people will complain either way. Ignoring your tantrums is the cheaper option.

I’m pretty sure Blizz is still working with Classic. I don’t know about anyone else but I haven’t noticed any hunter bots with Chinese symbol named pets since the holidays and the AH is definitely showing a dramatic upward shift in pricing on my server. I don’t expect to hear details of that.

That said, I never logged into retail to get my anniversary pet or the free crap they’ve been giving for 6m subs and I have no plans to buy Shadowlands. If this is just a do-over, then l’ll play til Wrath and wait for the next time around. (I might be in adult diapers by then, lol.) If they decide to Classic+, even better.

Despite what people like to say Retail does have its place. It’s got glorious and interesting raid content the majority of the time and if you are into raiding, specifically organized raiding, it’s a blast and Classic can’t hold a candle to the depth that you get out of it. But that’s not really why people play classic TBPH.

But that’s why you should buy shadowlands if you were going to. Ultimately I will probably buy it for that, but we will see when the time comes. I’d consider going back for some sort of retail raid logging if it wasn’t for the fact that essences really kills your ability to get back into the game.

Why are you acting like such an elitest prick over playing retail and classic? There is no need to have some self made divide. We all want both versions of the game to be as good as they can be. During the week when I’m more busy I prefer to play retail since everything is faster. On weekends when I want to chill I’ll play a little Classic. This whole divided attitude is half the reason the community is going downhill so fast.

Just can’t agree. I hate LFR, because of it there is less community. Because of that it’s harder to find solid guilds. It also Cheapens the raid content because you’ve already seen the lore in lfr so any boss kills don’t feel as significant.

Also with most of the class abilities and uniqueness removed class synergy is mostly gone. No Mythic+ 10 mans for small scale guiilds means your forced into flex/normal which is mindnumblingly easy. The pinnacle of raiding was probably BC or Wrath when raid content could be done with 10 and 25 people for small and large guilds respectively.

The raid bosses might be better designed, I’ll give you that, but that’s it really.

Shadowlands has no significant class mechanic changes from BFA.

Class mechanics in BFA feel absolutely awful.

Therefore, I’m not interested in Shadowlands.

Make the game fun to play, and I might consider it.

Drama queen of the year

holy generalization, batman!!!

Calling LFR raiding is like calling bud light beer.

It is an issue IMO. I dont think LFR should ever seen the light of day and has negatively impacted the game.

I’ve tried them all, and they all feel terrible.

It’s not a generalization when it’s based on an individual evaluation of each class. Though, admittedly, a lot of how they all feel terrible is based on a combination of bad gear design and bad encounter design (specifically level scaling), so it might improve a little even without direct changes to class mechanics.

Why would I buy a 2020 iPhone, if I disliked Apple’s 2005 cellphone?

What an absurd question. No REAL players think that Blizzard treats the entire playerbase “poorly”, just because Blizzard won’t OBEY a demand from 1% of the players…

…a demand to CHANGE a game that Blizzard says is a COPY of an old game.

Blizzard knows that 99% of the playerbase KNOWS that it is a copy of an old game, and WANTS a copy of an old game, despite the 1% that have been demanding an “improved” Classic WoW ever since August 2019.

i dont even own bfa
hell last time i payd for an expac was wod

hes not being elitist he is just tell it like it is. refail is an over monetized sack of :poop: where everything that once made it great has been pruned and homogenized out of existence. There is nothing for us in shadowlands or any other gawd awful expansion after it end of story!

All of the monetization is built around cosmetics or subscription. You just sound overly salty about retail. They do clearly market towards a portion of the playerbase that will drop cash on things like mounts, pets, cosmetics, etc, but the core design of the game has never deviated from dungeons and raiding.

If the game has any real problem is the fact that Blizzard let the game get overrun by casuals claiming the game needs to be accessible to all which is why we have 4 versions of every raid and dungeon

We get a new store mount and pet every so often. That is it. There is nothing even remotely required to play the game. Transmog is all from the game. Plenty of mounts are constantly released and seasonal events often in game rewards.

Compared to pretty much every MMO atm, WoW is the least monetized by far. Stop being over dramatic. FFXIV releases new store outfits on a regular basis. We don’t even have 2 pages for mounts yet.
