Edit: my gripe about spellslinger frost being terrible to play right now is no longer going to be relevant because it appears that they agree and are changing it in the 20th anniversary update. It would be nice if those changes would go into effect sooner. My other gripe that frostfire is not as powerful as it should be right now is also relatively irrelevant because of coming changes and tuning which will no doubt be done in November if not sooner due to the release of M+.

I am running Frost with the FrostFire Tree and while it isn’t complete yet, I am finding it quite efficient and deadly. I am only questing and using it in Open World but I can imagine it will play well in Instances as well on Single target like bosses. I am not running in the greens from drops either. I am wearing the 490+ gear from the memories in prepatch so that might have help with how powerful it is.
No offense. Questing does not show the power of a spec or hero talents. Frost fire has be under performing since beta and needs a single target buff badly.
This. It’s not acceptable in dungeons. Period. Questing is not an indication of balance.
I’m newer to playing DPS, so genuine question: What is good DPS right now?
I’ve been topping the charts for single target damage as frostfire in every heroic I’ve been in, but my experience is anecdotal. For AoE I usually get edged out by, but I’m still not the bottom of the pack.
instant cast frostfire bolt also uses a stack of ice flow its dumb they need to fix it
