What’s going on here? I’m curing around leveling 1-70 and it feels fine. Then I hit 70 and literally everything takes double the time elites take on my 80. Random little pet fungi are like super elites.
I’ve quest slogged my way from 70 to 72 and I’ve only had one item drop.
I can’t upgrade anything via the AH because it’s bugged and listing only items that are level 80 min requirement. Filtering for lower levels does nothing. It just shows the same level 80 items but says it’s level 70 instead. I buy them, and they’re level 80.
This is a mess right now. Leveling up last time was a cakewalk, so I get why they had to tweak it. But this is insane. Like I said, each throw away random mob takes double the time to kill that an elite on my two 80s. take. I’m blowing all my CDs that usually I can’t even get all the way through before rares are dead, and these normal mobs are not even half life at the end of the rotation.

What are you even talking about? Leveling is insanely fast
AH is working, and its also called the Trade channel

Yeah I don’t care about your gaslighting. This is my experience right now and I’ve leveled up twice, so I know the clear difference. And yes, the AH is bugged.

The trick if you do it by questing is that there’s only a few chapters of MSQ and like a million sidequests per zone
I’ve leveled up twice this way already. The issue is that right now it’s an absolute slog, whereas the previous two times, regular mobs didn’t feel like super elites.
Your “experience” is bogus. Leveling is stupidly fast still, gaining 90% of a level an hour at the most casual pace.

Are you use the random dungeon where you get XP from it?
You get loads of it and it helps
It’s actually easy if you don’t rush it. I rotate characters and use rested xp. It’s quick. Do some WQ’s while in the Dungeonr Finder and you can bang out two levels in no time.
Not really looking for leveling tips. I’m wondering why the method I usually use has turned into an absolute slog, whereas the last two times I did it, it was smooth.
Ehhhh I’m leveling an alt and it does feel slower to be fair tho I went from a frost mage to aug evoker so the killing power is drastically different

I also hate playing the game that I paid for

Weird, I haven’t had this issue on my alts, but I also haven’t leveled a fresh character into the new content yet. They were all geared by the pre-patch event. That might be the big determining factor.
I assume the character you posted on isn’t the one you’re struggling with. What’s your ilvl look like coming in?

Then you are 100% doing it WRONG. This is a YOU problem. 70-80 is faster than its ever been
Each alt you level gains you an additional 5% experience boost for your next toon you level stacking up to 25%
I just capped my shammy. I literally hit 70-80 in 3 hours of Dung Spams. This was my 6th toon

No real reason to come at this so aggo, lol. Dude’s obviously not doing dungeon spams, he’s feeling weak in the open world.
Could be a few things. Could be the toon’s gear is lower than the expected starting level, especially if it sat at 70 for a few patches and didn’t get that pre-patch gear (assuming it’s not the warlock they’re posting on), could be they’re just really bad at their spec, who knows?
My wife was struggling really hard with her shadow priest, but I’m carrying both of us real easy with my evoker.

if you need gear, try looking at DF world quest rewards. ive heard they’re 460-ish, that should give you a decent boost

Dreamsurge zones are easily the quickest way to 460.
ilvl is 271 at level 72. That’s part of the listed problems. I’ve only had one gear piece drop since dinging 70. Every level previous to that was normal. Immediately at 70 it switched over to feeling like everything was 2x the power of elites.
I tried going to the AH to upgrade, but you can’t search for gear under 80. The problem is tedious to describe, but I did above and in a bug report. The listings will show it as level 70 gear. You buy it, and it’s 80.

That would be the main problem.
You are easily 100ilvls below recommended. You could easily boost that 150ilvls before even touching TWW content.
Question: your previous characters that are now 80 – they came into TWW leveling at 270-ish item level?
