Edit mode ok. why blow up decades old UI?

Hold shift and hit M… Bring up the in-game battle map. Now try to use anything on the bottom right of your screen. Next go into a bg and try to access those things on the bottom right and then get back to me.

Hover over the map. The tab at the top shows up. Right click on it and uncheck “Lock Zone Map.”

I fail to see the point in complaining about something when you apparently didn’t even try to use it.

I don’t mind change, especially when things get better, but change for the sake of change where some things end up objectively worse can be pretty frustrating for people, like why are all of the icons to access different menus and such all much smaller and greyed out down there? Some of the changes just make me shake my head lol

You can change the entire UI scaling in the graphics options. You can resize the action bars individually. There’s a difference between something being “unworkable” and your unwillingness to work on it.

Actually, Hong Kong is China. It is not “mainland China,” and has a special administrative status, but it is absolutely China. I personally loved my visit.
But I digress.

arguably it is the only China since Mao’s overthrowing of the Chinese democratic gov’t was illegitimate…

The battlemap can still be unlocked and dragged and moved with a mover on the lefthand side above the top corner. Uncheck “Lock Zone map”, does not require editmode.

I also absolutely hate the new UI, but the battlemap’s functionality has not changed.

Thank you for the tip.

I stand corrected. It is obviously “workable” since the game can be played as-is.

In my opinion the default UI is not as usable, even with the UI scaling something things like the right-side action bars do not scale and the calendar icon does not scale. I find the default layout quite intrusive to my gameplay and the editor which is required to make any adjustments is quite non-intuitive.

Sadly, I am unable to post a screenshot

It’s bizarre how divisive this issue is.

I like it. I like the 2022 game looking like it was made when half of its player base was alive. To each their own. Blizz should still let players play with the classic UI if they so choose.

You mean the three extra bars they added? You can move them to wherever you want them with Edit mode.

I suppose ,before I try to adjust things, I’ll have a melt-down too!

:scream:

There. Now Ill look into this “Edit Mode” stuff.

The character nameplate and target plates being that low were an immediate nope from me. That was the first thing I adjusted. lol

I am.

Your statement is immediately rendered false.

A lot of this is just user error or lack of understanding of how it works. I’m guessing the 3 action bars in the middle are Action Bars 6, 7 and 8 which the OP activated in the Interface options. Maybe they don’t realize that selecting Edit Mode allows them to drag those bars anywhere they want. Also right clicking on any UI item, including the player frames, the action bars, the map and the chat windows allows the scale and size to be changed and whether they want them to be vertical or horizontal or how many rows they want the action bar to be.

A little bit of effort and investigation would probably have discovered this, rather than thinking that the sky was falling in and life is being ruined. But I guess some people aren’t intuitive. Hopefully someone comes up with a guide on how the UI can be configured and these people will be amazed at how easily and quickly they can make the new UI look like the old one.

Why manufacture newer cars?

Build newer computer processing chips

Make faster phones

or better Cameras?

Why invent televisions that are 85 inches and HD instead of just sticking with the 19 inch box tv.

Why improve upon anything at all that is old? Probably for the sake that it is old.

You were merely trying to derail the thread and troll. Don’t lie lol.

Actually no, I really wasn’t. If I wanted to create a thread on that issue I would have.
Have a great day.
