Echo of mortality?

I just started this quest and have been killing mobs at bloodgate and even tried darkshore farm area for over an hour and I still have 0/40… ???

Do you raid? I got mine entirely via doing weekly LFR. Dungeons are probably a good source too.

I farmed half or more of them at the blood gate (I think it’s called) in nazmir. Blood trolls all over the place.

Edit: oh, another necro.

I’ll give that a shot, but man it is annoying to try to farm something you basically paid for and get 0/40 after an hour+ investment :frowning:

I don’t think that works anymore. I farmed there for literally an hour+ and I am 0/40…

Kill naga in Darkshore. They respawn very quickly.

That’s where my wife and I got ours.

Yeah, I wouldn’t want to farm it. It’s RNG, in the end, so farming can still work, but it doesn’t seem worth it for me personally.

I actually tried this as well and still I am 0/40. I’m wondering if this is broken now??
Has anyone recently got theirs?

How peculiar.

Admittedly, we got ours months ago.

Making me very sad lol

I honestly wish you the best of luck!

Wait. Don’t you have to be 120 to do this quest?

Are you attempting it on a 120?

Yes, sorry, I’m posting from my Legion main for some reason lol. Playing on my 120 for quest.

Okay. Whew.

Comments on Wowhead dated “a month ago” say the farm spots have been nerfed. I was grinding on the Naga in Darkshore and got 1 within about 3 seconds, and none in the next 1.5 hours.

Time-gating an appearance bought in an upgraded pre-purchase package is mind-boggling.

I farmed for 5 hrs, the last two hours with a warlock that happened to be doing the same, got all 40 in Darkshore.

This was a week ago.

Where in Darkshore? Every time I go there I get one, maybe two, fairly quickly, and then absolutely nothing. I’ve spent a total of nearly three hours there.

I’m pretty sure the drop rate is inversely proportional to how hard you are trying to get the drop. When I did mine, it felt like it was taking forever, until I just went about my business unlocking Allied Races. Sethrak became the most generous with them, while working on Vol’dun world quests. Still ended up taking me a couple months, but it was over before I knew it.

The zone is where Commander Ral’esh spawns, the Naga drop it, they spawn really quick and you can make 3k gold or more with all the grey items they drop.

This is the design of Echoes, as many of us have observed. The first drop, you will get several, but then might not get any more for hours. For me, it was best to go do something else after that initial drop, and come back to it the next day. Eventually, you will get them all, but “Diminishing Returns” is an understatement at this point.
