The question as stated above: Is the Echo Isles/Now named Darkspear Isle in game the same one as seen in the RTS? I’ve always been a bit confused since it wasn’t called Darkspear Isle in-game until Cata. The whole chain is just referred to as the Echo Isles on maps and(afaik) by npc’s.

Darkspear Isle is the center island of the Echo Isles, as well as the largest. The Darkspear Islands (not great differentiation, I know) were their former home seen in Warcraft III. Vol’jin returned there in his short story - The Judgment - to evacuate the trolls that didn’t leave during Warcraft III.

We should go there for the heritage armor quest. Do some shadow hunter stuff. How many years did the Darkspear live there?
Edit: Apparently they settled there sometime AFTER the Dark Portal opened… which is disappointing. Blizzard crams everything, every bit of history, into this ridiculously small time frame.
