Ebonhorn Questline Proves it!

SPOILERS WILL BE AHEAD…though frankly if you have not done the quest by now, I don’t know what to say lol.

Anyway, in regards to the questline with Ebonhorn in the Forbidden Reach.

He talks about how…

He says, without a doubt…that the Dracthyr have a new spec that they could get.
You are in the creche with him, with that “frozen”-in-place Black Dragon. The High Creche is what it is called.
He says, and I do quote: “The symbols are conduits of power. If I understand correctly, it is drawing that power from the creches…from the dracthyr themselves.”

He then goes on to say, in the next line of dialogue: " Neltharion was drawing the power of the black dragonflight from dracthyr in stasis. This…siphon must have been empowering his dark enchantment while denying that power to the dracthyr"

Now, the dragon that is “frozen” is called Adamanthia. I know they are the black dragonflight and that a lot of their names are all earthy/metalicy…but that just sounds durable. Adamant. Adamantine, a metal in a lot of works of fiction. Almost always “nearly indestructable” or somesuch lol.

Maybe we end up freeing her from her stasis, and she (dialogue says she) might be able to teach the dracthyr how to tap into the earth powers that have been so obvioiusly missing the whole time.

Maybe we will get a tank spec, and they are introducing it in a cool way. Giving everybody time to learn and practice how to play their Dracthyr. Their gameplay is unique, so that makes sense.

Maybe we will get a tank spec.

Also there is the quest in the 10.1 PTR data that explicitly says new spec remembered, that is only available for Dracthyr on login with 10.1

That’s a big reach, dracthyr might get something new in 11.0 onward but getting it now is not happening.

According to the 10.1 Public Test Realm, she’s corrupted by the Void and attacks Ebyssian, Emberthal, and us after freeing her.

Noone said, they are a poster that just endlessly berates Blizard, if you open the spoiler example I posted in my last post, there is a 10.1 PTR quest that specifically says there will be something coming (don’t want to spoil, but just read the quest text that is in the PTR files right now)

I think all signs point to a black dragon or shadowflame spec. I hope it happens. They would have done a great job of hiding the vast majority of it and rolling out something new in an interesting way.

No one said now. I’m just pointing it out. Blizzard haven’t ruled it out and have mentioned or alluded to it in some recent interviews. But your example just felt like a reach that’s all. Adamanthia is most likely taken from the Greek Adamanthea or Adamanteia… Ion likes to have a lot of greek influence in the expansions he’s been lead of.

Her name comes from the Greek word ἀδάμας (adamas), meaning “untameable” and θεά, the Greek word for goddess.

The block quote was merely to finish the definition of the greek version.

A simple statement based on comments made over multiple threads, which a simple forum search by poster name, which can be done regardless of hidden profile, can easily confirm what I said. As such, I’ll leave it at that returning the personal attacks.

Unlike you, I wasn’t. I was simply pointing out your comment was the same as multiple others made in other threads, dismissive of Blizzard and denying any evidence of what is to come, and that regardless of the usual abusive dismissal post, that there is factual evidence of things coming for Dracthyr in 10.1

However as I said before, I have no interest in resorting to personal attacks as you continue to do, so good day.

Well, for one, I don’t have the reps to even start the questline.

And for two, you started the attitude by implying something was wrong for not having completed it yet, when you yourself said it’s been out for TWO days. TWO.

I have to ask, what ‘reps’? The quest they are talking about is main story quest given to everyone after they do the initial three starting quests in the Forbidden Reach, and anyone that is 70 gets the quest to go to the Forbidden Reach and get those three starting quests.

HUH, are you for real. I merely said OP was reaching in thinking that example was soome thing that proves another spec is coming for Dracthyr. How on earth did you think I was being dismissive of Blizzard. And it’s called having a discussion.

You intentionally searched and made reference to my criticisms of Blizzard to personally attack me so you don’t get to play the high and mighty card and leave.

Not sure. When I logged on I didn’t get a quest prompt but my quest log had a new section that stated I needed to increase my renown with the factions of DF to continue. Maybe I didnt pay much attention. I was only able to log on for a few minutes

As cool as this would be, this would be completely unprecedented. Specs in WoW are more or less their own classes As cool as a mail tank would be, I find a hard time imagining a scenario where they just drop one in there with little to no testing ahead of time if 10.1 is truly the goal. Think of how long players got to mess around with dracthyr ahead of the expansion’s launch.
