Any chance you can collect all the unreleased transmog sets and list them for the developers? I remember a very cool Pandaren armor which the soldiers had in the garrison. Or the Shado-Pan set which should have been available by now.
There are too many sets which needs to be released and perhaps they will do this if we list them all.
Reposting but I’d love if you could transmog robes into shirts. Make it an option like with turning off one of our shoulder pieces.
There’s a lot of cloth pants with great designs but very few cloth chest pieces that aren’t robes so we never see them. The few cloth shirts and tunics we have are mostly from vanilla era and have lower textures and don’t look very good. Which results in limited option to matching with the cloth pants we have.
Mail, Leather and Plate would benefit from this because they all have some robe gear that could look great as just a shirt.
Also some cloth robes look really bad on the bigger races because the textures get stretched. Specifically male Kul Tirans and male Tauren it just doesn’t look great on them.
While I am in favor of keeping existing armor classes as is - Rogues wear leather, Mages wear cloth - I do think that there can be some variance in how these armors are designed. Armor Class is an important of the RPG and while I acknowledge that it’s an unpopular opinion to say ‘Let’s keep armor as is’ I do wish they would use Cosmetic Sets as a sort of guide by challenging the default appear of a ‘Cloth set’ or what a ‘Mail set’ should look like.
Imagine a Plate set that had some iconic heavy plate elements, but also incorporated some cloth or leather elements into set.
A solid plate chestpiece and shoulder but cloth ‘underrobes’ with big leather gloves or boots
Picture this: A battle mage set, labeled as ‘Cloth’ but incorporating elements of solid plate and leather into the set visually.
Flowing robes as a chest piece, with under-mail and plate-like gloves/boots, but it’s labeled as a ‘Cloth set’ to give Priests, Mages and Warlocks that variance of a ‘Battle-Mage’ set.
Honestly wish we had that too Most of the transmog I have collected is Leather and switching mains to a cloth class I’m like dang I have nothing good to transmog except all these robes that stretch and look weird on my big clunky character.
I don’t care even a tiny smidge if I can tell if the person standing next to me in a raid is a Warlock or a Paladin by their outfit. I can sort of see being able to visually identify the class that you’re fighting being valuable in PVP, but since I don’t PVP…/shruuuuuuuuuuuuuug.
As a roleplayer, utility and being able to use anything I can for costuming is critical. I say, open the floodgates. Pull the transmog ripcord. Do away with fussy restrictions for the sake of “silhouette”. Can you get it in the game? Great. Add it to account-wide transmog. Allow any piece to be transmogged into any other appearance you’ve earned. No more gray items, white items, holiday-restricted items, class-restricted items.
That’s debatable tbh. Raids in WoW allow for failures. I personally love both wow and ff14 raids BUT FF14 has an edge IMO because theirs is MAX 8 players and each player needs to carry their weight or you wipe.
However if you like the idea of still being able to down the boss if a few DPS die…wow has the raiding for you, it just feels way worse after trying FF14 cause it makes you see how easy wow raids are.
And when it comes to ultimate raids vs Mythic raids - ultimate comes out on top.
True but also that only applied until level 40 up to Warlords. Transmog didn’t let you mog your max level Mail chest piece into leather at the end of Mists- you were still bound to Mail after level 40.
The issue here isn’t that you suddenly lost the ability to wear leather - it’s that many mail/leather items were changed appearance wise to mail/plate when Hunters/Shaman lost their leather and Paladins/Warrior lost their mail. That chest piece in particular use to be all leather -only- back in Cataclysm when it went live (it’s icon is labeled as leather only) but that was shifted when WoD dropped and it and other pieces alike got bumped to mail.
You never had that at max level. At max, proper level if you were a hunter wearing leather, you were underperforming.
Either way, I wouldn’t be mad for armor class to change, but I do think within the RPG there should be some elements of class armor types but that’s just my opinion.
I don’t understand why we can’t wear white or gray gear mogs. Even if you keep like armor types there’s no reason we can’t. I NEED a pots and pans Paladin.
I’m pretty sure the existence of the Yeti PJs and the Faerie Dragon armor alone warrants freeing up transmog restrictions. If I just use those sets on every class with silly weapons no one would be able to tell what class I am based on my appearance.
Heck, look at my transmog as it is now. Would you be able to tell I’m a Warlock based on my transmog alone? Hell no. Bare minimum you’d need to see my demon out to tell I’m a warlock. That’s where we are at. I could achieve this style on any armor type due to it being mostly a mash up of heirloom and cosmetic gear. Only my weapons, gloves, belt and shoes would need to be changed for another armor type. My hat is cosmetic shades, my shoulder is heirloom, my chest is invisible with a cosmetic shirt, and my pants are heirloom. You know, the primary pieces of an appearance. They’re all set in stone.
Speaking of silly weapons, most of pre Wrath of the Lich King weapons look childish nowadays. Perhaps they should also start reworking the older models at this point?
Pushed back to the top, for awareness about some white items (which will become transmog items soon) and ones which aren’t available and should have been for years now.
