Druids are fantastic. Between stealth and travel forms, you can cover large distances probably more effectively than any other class. Decent self healing on top of it. The only drawback is the lack of visual customization options.

Demon Hunters are just a joy to play. Incredible mobility, awesome visuals and Vengeance can solo nearly anything.

Monks are wonderful if you like being ‘rare’. All 3 specs are really fun to play too.

Hunters are the king of soloing, and you will clownstomp over content that any other class would struggle with.

Warlocks are similar, but have a tendency to be overlooked by the developers. Sometimes to their detriment, sometimes to their advantage.

Rogues are brilliant for open world content, thanks to stealth and speed. They also have 3 very different specs, look really snazzy and are just enjoyable to play.

Warriors can be good soloists, thanks to being quite tanky and Leap allowing them to navigate geometry very easily.

ty so much for bringing up MONKS! I had forgotten about them Which is odd as I was one of the “odds” who loved MOP. I may, lvl one at least to 20 just to get a “feel” for them. Same w/ druids from suggestions…and perhaps a mage :P.
Mages are fun, but not amazing for soloing.
Monks can do it, but struggle a bit with self-healing in their dps spec. They can be squishy, and rely heavily on cooldowns to survive. Still thoroughly enjoy the class though, and if I ever had to go Horde, Monk would probably be what I’d go for (really don’t like the Horde druid races/forms).
100 percent would be druid bear, you can change forms instantly getting out of any cc, can heal yourself easily, can take on as many mobs as there are near you, don’t need to worry about riding training and they can also stealth, they are basically most classes wrapped into one, I recently started leveling one and I felt like I was cheating it was that easy.
the only, and i mean only reason I am hesitant about making a druid is i am used to seeing all my character and her armor, hehe.
Yeah transmog doesn’t mean much as a bear I guess but with the new skin and what not it might not matter. If you can get past the transmog being absent unless out of form its easily the best choice for easy solo.

So if I am say a Druid without faction B/S or racial stuff and JUST cosmetics should I roll Tauren or Nelf? I’m also Open to Worgens.
Protection paladin.
Takes forever to kill things but you really can’t die. Sometimes you do, though.
Bears and prof pallies and vengeance DH are all good at solo play if you want to farm old raids/world content.

forgot about the tank spec of DH. Thoughts…Ideas…so many!
BM Hunter has changed a lot, and is hands down the most fun spec in the game.
It’s also the only Class with complete mobility.
The best part is, you can tailor the spec to your personal play style.
If you prefer simple play, choose passive talents and keep your pet in Assist mode.
If you prefer more complex play, choose active talents and control your pet manually. (Hard to master which is why most casual Hunters don’t bother and go for auto/passive mode.)

Warlock. Tank Pet, DPS Pets, Healing via stones and drains. Great solo class also fun.

no doubt. It’s just I mained a hunter for the entire “original” BC…and forwards I was on them a good bit. Even at the beginning of Legion when I quit. I just want something a bit fresh. That said your notes are considered. =)

Classes with pocket tanks are easy to solo with. You can easily punch above your weight with them as well.

one of the reasons I am considering Monks…those peeps were so fun as DPS in MOP. So trying a tank spec…brewmaster the name? Anyway…should be interesting for someone who just solos and does dailies/professions.
I really enjoy doing random things on my ww monk
I don’t know if its easiest, but its fun and satisfying to see big numbers

i wouldn’t mind trying Surv, Hunter someday. Right now I am on the path of Tank (brewmaster right?) Monk, Orc female.
I am a solo player and have a variety of Alliance race/class/spec characters I rotate at whim and the ones I am enjoying playing the most these days are my Draenei Retribution Paladin and my Night Elf Feral Druid. (The least would be my Human Arcane Mage.)

If you’re talkin about retail? They’re all pretty fun as long as you dont intend on raiding or M+'ing. They all have their niche is what i mean.

you playing a female draenei pally, i ask because i was wondering if their animations changed a lot from BC to Mists to now/Shadowlands.
Yes, it is a female but I don’t know if they have changed as I just created her last summer (all prior draenei either died or disappeared in training).
I will say they seem fine to me, nothing stands out as bad or awkward.
