Just a reminder that with only a hundred or so people left on the server, Earthfury is still listed as a destination server only… and has not been offered free xfers off.
All other servers got xfers when they hit 1500-1000 people. EF is just around 100-200 people. 1 alliance guild, two horde guilds. Thats it. Whats going on blizzard?
Any chance these small servers get fixed by WOTLK? Im having serious doubts at this point.
They won’t get fixed by wrath blizzard has outright stated they don’t know what to do to solve the issue. Was mentioned with the wrath launch durring one of the q and a’s.
Obv they could solve the issue but they don’t know how to do it without giving up money as such most fixes they won’t do.
You can either hope for free xfers or you can pay to xfer or reroll that’s your options. With wrath comming “soon” waiting and rerolling with the boost is also an option.
This is what this thread is requesting, the server is at the point where it should be on the free transfer list. there was something on Twitter about free transfers off low pop servers. That hasn’t happened for Earthfury after weeks, so it’s valid to make a thread.
I see what you’re replying to (the last sentence) but most of us have accepted that our smaller servers are dead. My characters are already off Earthfury except my alt hunter and this druid I rerolled just to not mess up my forum profile so it will stay there forever. I transferred my main druid.
Still there are still people on the server who this could help and I’ll continue to support them getting it.
Free server transfers are not really a garaunteed thing. They’re an act of charity that Blizzard sparingly does.
Your best bet is to pay for the premium server transfer service or alternatively, use the free option and just reroll your character.
We have no idea when/if free transfers are coming for Earthfury.
I myself transferred off of Earthfury because of the pervasive drama and toxicity rampant on that server and in its communities. I’ve been a lot happier since my transfer, to say the least.
Congratulations, you win the award for the most obtuse, out of touch, and literally, the most disgusting post I’ve read all year. People working at minimum wage (obviously a joke to you) can barely afford decent housing and food on the table, how in the F— are they going to shell out 25 USD PER CHARACTER for entertainment they’re probably stretching to afford as is? Sorry Karen, daddy doesn’t pay for everyone’s life like yours does…
Min wage is $7.25. If you X 2 that you get $14.50, then Uncle Sam takes his share and you are back down to less then $12. From there, I hope you can figure out how many hours it would actually take a minimum wage worker for such a luxury purchase.
It does seem weird to bash people for not being able to afford things when it’s a known fact that gas prices are so high and people are having a hard time buying things like food because of inflation.
Granted the game is a “luxury” and there are options like rerolling but still, attacking people for not having money is pretty lame.
True story: I have a friend that couldn’t play for WoW anymore because his Dad had a stroke and he had to quit his job to care for his Dad full time, and the social assistance income was not enough to do much with. Also, they couldn’t find housing and they had to move states after living in a trailer on the street for a month searching for a place that had a rental spot.
Maybe a persons only source of entertainment is WoW. Do you think this type of thing is ever considered by these people who say this stuff about money? NOPE. They probably have never had a problem in their life and get everything handed to them.
Anyway, that poster mostly just trolls so comments like that are expected, I did kind of back them up for making a thread earlier today but probably shouldn’t have.
Here’s a random convo on my guild Disc the other day, sharing because I feel like it. The last guy refused to pay to transfer and quit the game (for now) over it. (I cut the names)
Its not about the money my man lol… I make far more than enough and spend way more than enough on gaming to cover the cost of an xfer. I just spent $60 last week to boost a rogue in retail and a $20 coin to get a wow token. You confusing it with the money is problem #1
Its about creating a healthy game and saving all the people who are afraid to speak up / dont have the $ to cover xfers.
