Earthen Lore - Spoilers Inside I'm sure

No they didnt. They said the latter part of your quote but never said it was the Seat.

In reference to Sargeras jailed at the Seat of the Pantheon. And later on, after Afrasiabi made the comment, another dev interview did mention the red star being the Seat.

Hit me with the source. I’d love to be proven wrong and stop going crazy whenever I see people incorrectly saying the red star is the Seat.

Ogod. I have no idea how long that’ll take me. That stuff is always buried in interviews and it’s like finding a needle in a haystack. LOL But I’ll do my best.

I got you:

“The Pantheon pooled their power with Argus’ and imprisoned their former brother Sargeras within the Seat, apparently crippling the Legion and ending the Burning Crusade forever. The rift between Azeroth and Argus that Illidan Stormrage opened was then closed, leaving only a faint, red scar in Azeroth’s sky behind.”

Bonus:

[Xal’atath, Blade of the Black Empire]: “Long have we sought entry into this realm! To think we have a mortal to thank for giving us our foothold. Your service will be remembered!” (at the Seat of the Pantheon)

It’ll be relevant again, soon.

There’s no citation or reference to lore for the “rift leaving only a faint red scar.” (Also, in case you weren’t aware, they moved Wowpedia to warcraft.wiki.gg, so no more updates on Fandom anymore. The ads were an issue and they’re still fighting with Fandom over the Google search, too. Craziness!)

Now, Xal’s comment at the Seat does point to that, though. Which is definitely an interesting comment. That makes me wonder if in Midnight, they’ll use the Seat to invade, turning our skies black or something.

Also will there be more discs? I don’t know if I fully believe Archaedas… Beledar is also very confusing, as is the storming sea.

I just think it’s funny Illidan was imprisoned for 10,000 years, and at the end of his whole campaign, we’re just locking him up again, potentially ‘forever’ lol. (It’s his own choice this time, but still. The dude lives to be a prisoner.)

There’s no way we don’t see him again.

Oh, we will. I’ve always been of the theory that eventually the bigger threat would come back around and Sargeras would end up being no different than Illidan: sacrifice to make sure the important stays safe. So Illidan will come back with Sargeras in tow to stop the Void, because otherwise, Azeroth gets turned into a Void Titan.

Right, like I said, the star is the scar left behind by the rift Illidan opened.

Do you have a suggestion of where I should be looking when I want to gaze off into the sky and contemplate titans?

where do I sign? (lmao at “little”, how tall is he in canon? idk if that whole demon thing affected his size any)

In the beginning there was mud.

From the mud spawned mud people.

From the mud people came clay dudes.

From the clay dudes begot pottery men.

From the pottery men came the Earthen!

You literally see it happen in the cinematic after defeating Argus. Seat of the Pantheon is gold and blue. Illidan’s rift is red. Rift closes until its just a point of red light. You dont need a citation for stuff you literally see happen.

Thank you, I remembered that as well
