Guess I’ll try that then, thanks!
If you can, I don’t see a way at low level (low=55 in this case). There are two big ol’ portals to Org and SW, and a big door, but the door cannot be interacted with in any way so you can’t use it to leave.
ALL THAT BEING SAID (including all the mess about who is and isn’t eligible, my god y’all lol) I think this was hotfixed today! I still don’t see a way to get to Dornogal without help, but once you’re there the console in the room with the waygate to the Vault of Memories is actually interactable now, and Dawn (who is the questgiver) is standing right by it, and she has a voiced line as you enter the room to draw attention to her. This was NOT the case last night.
Armor acquired!
Thought that too then read this and abandoned my level 40 earthen and race changed my priest. First thing that happens when you log in is the heritage armor quest.
Was kinda bummed but relieved.
For non Earthen allied races that is still true as you get them from an achievement where you have to level a fresh allied race toon to 50. For Earthen there is no achievement so they are the exception, not the rule.
there is an achievement for the earthen
That is to unlock them, not for the heritage armor.
Actually, you don’t. I got the heritage armor on my race-changed Timerunner Shaman.
they do have an achievement for heritage armor
and that is the achievement for the armor
My bad, for some reason the achievement that gives the armor is not with the others (aka reputation tab) but in the ‘quest’ section for The War Within.
My guess is the race changing or boosting is a bug then.
Please go back and read the other posts in this thread. I’m not doing this again.
its all good i think it was changed though most players are saying they got other heritage armors from boosting allied raced and changed races
The NPC you turn the quest in at is on the platform above the teleporter, you don’t need to use it to finish the heritage armor quest. I just finished it myself
That said, the “quest” is incredibly disappointing…just a simple “hey neat, thanks” and…that’s it. No big rousing speech or anything
According to Earning an Allied Race Heritage Armor support ticket:
Restrictions
Having been granted Recruit-A-Friend levels from the old Recruit-A-Friend program while it was active will prevent your character from receiving your Heritage Armor.
You can use Heirlooms and experience potions while leveling your Allied Race character and still receive your Heritage Armor.
Using a Character Boost, Race Change, or Faction Change no longer disqualifies the character from doing Heritage Armor quests.
All allied races can be boosted, race or faction changed and still qualify for Heritage Amor.
This is no longer true.
I can confirm that I used my 70 boost on a newly created Zandalari Troll and was able to complete the quest to get the heritage armor.
Yes, we went through quite a lengthy back and forth where the support article made no sense, interpretations were incorrect and in the end, that support article just needs redone, because the poo storm I caused over it was pretty phenomenal.
I finished leveling to 70 and the quest in my log has disappeared. I suppose I’ll look up who offers the quest in Dornogal.
Almost 100 posts and no one answered OPs question.
It’s genuinely hilarious how dysfunctional the forums are.
it takes you to waking place, but you can’t get into dornagal to complete the quest
If the posts could get back on topic about a way of Traversing to Dornogal for Earthen Characters that have reached level 50 and need to make the transit for the Heritage Armor quest. Enough of this “just boost your character to complete it” and arguing about whether or not boosting an allied race would even allow you to complete a Heritage Armor quest.
The point of the post was looking for a way to Traverse to the Earthen Capital City.
I confirm this too.
