Dying to Evoker should be a mark of shame

I don’t play ranked devastation, just ebgs, but it feels really weak tbh. I feel much stronger on havoc dh and I’m not even playing initiative/momentum…

Devoker is one of the worst specs inthe game.
If you nerf its damage, you delete the spec without some serious defensive compensation.
Anyone who thinks otherwise, idk what you’re smoking. The moment a devoker gets grip stunned they’re dead in a 5 second kidney.

its not a bad class by any means .

Where’s the lie? I mean if someone can demonstrate exactly how good it can be then it’s a skill issue for anyone not doing well with it. That’s just critical thinking.

Because if this the the measurement for how a spec is overall then there are no bad specs.

I watched Bri’s clip above. It was neat. But let’s not pretend that every evoker is wiping teams right out the gate. Sometimes the stars align and you’re able to do some pretty cool things, but that isn’t the experience for the other 99% of players.

Also, and I can’t believe that this constantly needs to be reiterated… This is the battleground forum. Let’s stop talking about a classes potential in arena and use it as leverage in a battleground.

How a class does in solo shuffle relates pretty well to how it does in random BGs in smaller fights because both are uncoordinated (no comms) pvp.

Evoker has the second lowest win rate in solo shuffle, so it’s not that great in smaller scale fights. However, it is pretty good in main team fights.

How good some classes are requires the cooperation of the people they are fighting. Pro-tip: don’t all stand in a clump together when fighting a devastation evoker.

I feel like devoker does really well until you face a bunch of immunities

That’s most burst classes tbh

I play bgs with devokers all the time. They don’t need buffs

They just need to nerf warlock already so other casters can shine

It’s great at pubstomping
and works fantastic when you build a comp around it in competitive

Who cares about solo shuffle, it killed arena

It’s pretty good if no one focuses it. Just like the other casters. Unlike the other casters their defensives aren’t up to par, especially considering how close they need to be to the action given their range limitations. They don’t need a damage buff, but they either need their defensives buffed or more abilities to use outside of their 25 yard range.

Nullifying

Well I’ll just use -Insert ability here- and it won’t matter.

Button that completely makes you immune to all cc?

yea that ability works great for getting your 3 button burst off

Sorry. I was using dispersion. Were you saying something?

and that’s why you’re a 1200 player

You don’t see how valuable nullifying is

My devastation evoker has a higher rating than yours.

I didn’t know I had a devastation evoker

Countered by some classes pretty hard, though. Rogues can just sap it off and several casters can strip it. Similar to how annoying paladin bubble can be if the right classes aren’t around.

Give her some time to respond. She’s got to check your rating first in order to form an opinion.

Well, we all probably mostly agree. Evoker is pretty good in BG team fights (I found it to be far more impactful than balance druid in early season rated BGs), but it’s win condition in smaller fights is kind of gimmicky and not reliable. I.E., it’s a bit too one-dimensional.
