Zangarmarsh?

There are no bots there either. It’s just another well known leveling spot.

First of all, a bit too many mages there at 4 AM to be real humans. I refuse to believe they’re all suffering from insomnia like me. Secondly, I checked by pulling a mob right before a mage’s spell would hit it, a human player would’ve dropped aggro on that mob since it’s worth no XP, but a bot is not smart enough to do that so they continue to dps the now grey to them mob.

They’re gold farmers farming the motes of life.

This has been a thing.

Try farming in their spot and watch the gold mafia divebomb you.

So is buying gold

so stop buying gold?

Exactly.

Still waiting for evidence of botting.
Saying you saw people playing the game isn’t evidence.
I was there friday night after raid. Did you report me, little baby?

Out of curiosity, I do a /who rogue 67 command every day every hour when I’m online, and there’s ALWAYS the same names on that list. They’re on 24/7, doing some stupid dungeon node farm. Bots.

You could do the same for the mages in Zangarmarsh. Of course, those are lvl 70, but the principle is the same.

Dungeon bots make sense. There’s no competition and they’re less likely to draw attention.

The same cannot be said about open world farming. While there’s obviously some bots, the average forum whiner coming here to make their 50th post crying about bots isn’t smart enough to be able to distinguish between bots and players.

Why would mage players not be AoE farming a profitable area? Just because ots inconvenient to questing players doesn’t mean they’re bots.

Just do what I suggested, check /who mage zangarmarsh every hour every day, ideally with you having a bad sleep schedule (like myself), and you will see the exact same names on 24/7, in the same zone, never leaving, never taking a break. They’re absolutely bots.

Also, when you grab a mob from them a millisecond before their spell lands on the mob, they will continue to dps it. Real humans would not dps a grey mob. Bots do because it’s the same dumb primitive bot scripts from 2007, not AI new ones (they don’t exist yet).

Because it’s 4 AM and there’s 15 mages there.

It’s wild watching you all defending the bots lol… Its so easy to see who lives off swiping and who wants to play the game…

Boy that’s a lot of mages all over Zangarmarsh trying to reach level 71 then…

It’s the jajajaja gold sellers. Some are bots, but most are just gold farmers.

Anniversary is an RMT version of the game. Blizz doesn’t even attempt to do anything about it and people have been conditioned into accepting RMT over time. Blizz employees are also probably selling gold.

I don’t have much hope for Classic+. A shame Blizz has spent more time invested in shutting down pservers than actually making a better product/service that outcompetes them.

This is untrue. The problem is that their efforts amount to trying to bail out the ocean with an olive fork. Theyre trying to go after supply when the supply side RoI threshold for profit is extremely low.

The permanent solution isnt fighting a war of attrition against bots and gold sellers. Its tactically nuking the buyers.

Little Danny Debit Card is significantly more impacted by his entire Battle.net account being closed because he got caught buying gold than Xiangpao or Sutrisno are for getting their 7th bot account caught and banned this month when it was already at 130% RoI.

When the punishment for buying gold is swift, brutal and final, the risk for buying gold becomes too great to justify doing it. Thereby eliminating the market, and thus the reason, for industrialized gold farming.

Same difference… Both are breaking the rules

People are defending bots and saying there isn’t much bots now? Bots behavior has been documented for years, bots are stupid and you can easily detect them just by doing small tricks/baits to them.

who would buy gold on a expansion that is 20 years old. wth
