Nah I’ve done A LOT of Classic PVP recently. it’s not dead.

Retail I can’t think of a single reason to log in so I stopped playing it. Not even interested in finishing the rep grinds.

I know you guys are mostly about responding to this OP, just wanted to say that.

you sure can pvp, but naxx gear changes balance out of proportion.
you are a druid, I know you ranked as FC, how do you like prot warr FC meta?

P.S. Naxx patch is an abomination for vanilla/classic, same as it was in 2006, but even worse now.

as crazy as it sounds, retails has way more engaging content than classic rn.

I mean… I really can’t argue with this. It was better before the Naxx gear.

I wish I liked Retail and could get into really RBGs or raids or anything. I just can’t do the lobby for groups thing and feel any connection to the game. Sadly guilds don’t fix that.

The responses from you and Robokappa to the OP are fitting overall.

You don’t have to.

a man once said you think you do but you don’t and ultimately he was right :frowning:

people automatically assume badly geared mages and hunters are bots, probably rightfully so

But I thought you were married.

We are in phase 6, no one does dungeons for preraid bis anymore, aside from buying hoj carries maybe. Just do a zg as the need for enchants or mounts is still in demand for some people and as such skipping to zg might be the best option. The gear from zg is better than most 5 man stuff.

Your other option is to farm alot of gold maybe 1000g and gdkp tier 2 set, get spellpower ring from mc/zg and join a vanilla guild. If you want to do a non-gdpk you can try to start your own group but it might be full of similar geared people.

But classic might die without the population to keep the world buff meta active it might just be best to give people free world buffs at this point for vanilla naxx. Because while getting world buffs for that first kt or c’thun kill is great the novelty dies down afterward and unless you can keep moral up it will fall apart so free world buffs might be the best option to keep classic going when most people go to tbc except maybe between patches.

Most of us have been doing the content for a long time, so people are bored with it, and most are ready for something new and there is a lot of raid logging right now as people wait for TBC. That said, there are still people running stuff, and its pretty easy to find raids, both MS/OS or GDKP. If your not geared stay away from AQ40/Naxx runs, but nobody will care what your gear looks like in most MC, BWL, AQ20 or ZG runs, as long as you try hard, and don’t do thinks like AFK or cause problems.

For dungeons, as someone above motioned, start making your own groups, and find other people to add to your friends list who also like to run instances.

Hey now I play a badly geared Hunter in classic! I’m not a bot. I just tend to slap on whatever random junk drops for me

you’re not allowed to say that!!!

you mean dailies, mission table, world quests, always hundreds of M+s listed, raid pugs - not gdkp but actual pugs, achievements, exploration, professions and Torghast?

You quoted my comment so I’ll just respond to say that even with that stuff I personally have no desire to log on. I’d rather just play another game. So it’s good that my 6-month sub works for Classic too because i would have just waisted my sub money again. I don’t want to log on for any of that.

I’m glad that Retail has a playerbase that enjoys what it has to offer.

Tbf retail players have been screaming on these forums since release that Classic is going to die in a week, a month, two months, five months, a year, literally right now.

I guess if you keep changing the goalposts, eventually when you get to the end and the servers shutdown for good they’ll be right.

This tbh.

If I’m waiting for something in Classic I usually just boot up Overwatch and drop into quick play.

Last I logged into retail, I wanted to level a pally and the world is just barren and dead, no one is leveling. It doesn’t feel like I’m playing an MMO, warmode makes it even worse too. I could maybe PvP some people out in the world, but nah, empty.

No DUH it’s phase 6 and there’s nothing left to do but prep for TBC, if you missed out on leveling/doing dungeons I feel bad for you.

Hah! Good one!
