I do. I like dwarves a lot but I like night elves more.

? Ythisens will remember that.

If you are a glutton for pain make one of each. That way you can decide which one better suits your play style.

Night elf shadowmeld makes you more hunter like with hiding your presence from animals in pvp. Launch suprise attacks.

Night Elf for the higher base agility. Dwarf racial for +gun skill is helpful in early raiding when you are low hit, but guns are never the best in slot ranged weapon during raiding. In PVP, they are basically equal but NElf still preferred for the hilariousness of aimed shotting someone out of shadowmeld.

When did the Shadowmeld Nerf happen? I remember being able to crank up an Aimed Shot that wouldn’t reveal you until you fired. At that point, with a stacked Multi and Arcane, you’ve already 1/2 healthed or better your intended target and its too late.

Dwarf with stoneform means you’d have to be the worst hunter alive to not roast just about any rogue.

On the other hand… shadowmeld is handy for PvP and ambushing.

Umm…

Stoneform makes you IMMUNE to everything a rogue can do. Also increases armor. It also makes you IMMUNE to Blind.

Removes devouring plague.

Shadowmeld doesn’t compete at all vs stoneform.

Dwarfs are stupid looking. And they’re short. Can’t shoot anything if they can’t even see over the tank. Also shoo with the huntard and Legolas thing. Not all of us elves are huntards. Many of us are quite good.

This is the best for being on Def in AB. Hide in the bushes until some unsuspecting hordie rolls up to the flag and while they are occupied, wind up an Aimed shot to the back.

I’m having beef for dinner tonight.

Nothing against you long ear types, but I’m going dwarf. I just can’t stand some of the N.Elf animations and not even shadowmeld can overcome it. Besides, dwarf + gun + bear = best

Now to dig out my old WHU chest. Think there is some ammo and beer that’s still good in there.

Dwarves have a gun racial, but seeing over your pets in places like tunnels and the second lowest agility in the game are downsides.

NEs have the highest agility in the game, a better chance to dodge and can see over their pets, while they have no weapons racial.

Night Elf because of the 1/5 chance for a frontflip when you jump. /endOfDiscussion

But more seriously Dwarves are better for BGs but pve wise, they’re pretty much the same since good guns are rare (most are too fast to not waste auto-shots while using Aimed Shot)
Nelf is better for world pvp if you want to have fun camping or having mind games with other peoples (they’re also better to escape disadvantageous situations thanks to the rez=>shadow meld or FD => Invisibility Potion => Shadowmeld if you’re still alive).
But they’re obviously harder to master.

Example of Nelf world pvp:

  • send your pet on the other side of a road, shadowmeld, then when someone pass by, make your pet attack so people think you’re in the other direction while you easily aimed shot and finish him
(obviously you have Brokentooth as a pet for cat stealth and to annoy casters)

edit: also forgot for pve Nelf, when your raid wipes and you happily FD => Shadowmeld => logout to save your buffs+consumes and your pet’s buffs while everyone around you cries

Sorry but stoneform hands down destroys smeld for pvp.

FD does indeed drop combat.

Made many many solo FD runs into LBRS to get to the Grim guzzler.

Run in agro things. FD in a save spot. Wait for FD to come off cool down and repeat.

Screen shot or it didnt happen!
