Again, it’s not a question of prices, it’s a question of supply.
It’s safe to say that, with your access to GDKP, you effectively have unlimited gold. However you’re not the only one in this situation. If there are 40 players who want 20 players worth of things yes, prices will go up, but once those 20 players worth of things are purchased there is no more available to the other 20 players, at any price.
It feels like you’re maybe hung up on the gold part but what I’m trying to impress upon you is the fact that how you are using consumables is not sustainable in the absence of bots, or real money financially motivated farmers.
I don’t think this would have an impact on your gameplay either by the way… but right now you seem to be of the opinion that if you can’t have all your consumes, PvP is just not worth playing.
If you ban the bots (which would be good) the cost of consumes will go up not down as you will greatly reduce the amount on the market, without changing the demand at all, which will drive the prices up. People are not suddenly going to want to basically work for free farming consumes so you get them super cheap.
What you fail to consider is inflation: with the bots currently active, their activity massively inflates the economy, and when a currency is hyper inflated, prices go up.
If the bots just stopped logging in tomorrow, the inflation would go down due to repair costs and for other reasons, causing prices to go down.
Your whole premise is based on the idea that gold is hard to make in classic ERA, when in the reality it’s not and is actually extremely easy. In addition there are essentially no gold sinks in the game, and even without doing GDKPs or even using the AH much anyone actively playing could easily have 10-20k+ in gold now along with epic riding on all of their alts.
So even assuming there was no RMT and all bots were banned, there will be tons of gold floating around, so if you reduce the available consumes by a huge margin, but don’t reduce the demand, its going to push prices up. Also no Blizzard isn’t going to take everyone’s money away, and reset it because some people are just horrible with managing their gold.
He made a video about this post on his youtube channel…
huh.
Dwarf Lord is very funny. Should have way more viewers.

I don’t know why, but the fact that he commented on my character’s troll regen made me happy.
Well, your toon sure doesn’t have looks going for it, so I guess you need to take compliments where you can find them.

OK, so a little bit of context for the video:
Regarding my raid logs: that raid happened two months ago, and I was in a progression guild that allowed me to come.
I havn’t raided since then, which is why those logs haven’t updated. I’m not even with that guild anymore. I decided that I was going to focus on getting all my pre raid bis before trying to raid again.
As for the blue two hander: i’ve been trying very hard to get the main hand dal’rend for ages, but it just hasn’t dropped.
I’m not sure what he meant about the diamond flask, but i’ll look into getting it later.
Diamond flask is the single most broken item in the game, you should prioritise it.
I’ll get it at some point, when i’m not busy with other stuff.
I always felt that a youtube channel of someone reading (and maybe replying) to wow forums had potential to be hilarious.
This dwarflord vid is kinda reinforcing that

Yeah, while his advice was good it stopped being funny when he moved away from forums
I was hoping he was gonna go down and read some of your ‘stories’

Agreed! That would be fun, good idea!
I hate to link to someone elses content on this thread so I won’t embed, but check this out, timestamp 4:45, although I don’t agree with that creators overall opinions shown in this video, the forum part is gold:

make sure you find someone to pay you to turn in the last step of diamond flask, it drops a small world buff for very sweaty players, you can sell it to a horde or alliance guild and use the gold to clear out a ZG and buy everything

Someone should do a WoW forums podcast. Interview forum regulars about Classic Era.
