People were aoe pulling dungeons 14 years ago, not sure why people are acting like this is a new thing.

You are not wrong, but people were less toxic, and more communication was being had in those days. Could be my experience I guess. I can go weeks not seeing a single thing in game chat, and I still find that to be the saddest part of WoW.

If they wanna rush the dungeon just follow them and get free loot. If they wanna do the work for you I don’t see the problem
You could look for a guild that’s new player friendly. those groups tend to go slower and you can make some friends 
I feel that too so I only run with friends now. The gogogo guy is most people now, probably something to do with m+.

You are probably running normals with mythic raiders and m+ players. They know it’s easy and wanna push through or learn what they can pull big or something.
If you want a slow pace I’d recommend either tanking yourself or ask in trade chat or form a dungeon group in lfg for a slower pace. Prob won’t be hard with so many doing normals atm.
Personally I like the pace. I got 3 70s and lots of dungeons to run xD
This is completely false. People were far more toxic then. So much so that Blizzard has needed to spend a lot of time coming up with ways to curb toxicity.

Where and how?
People continue to still get flamed in dungeons for easy mistakes.
People continue to still shout bigotry on the forums everyday.
People continue to be terrible, with little to no repercussions being seen.
I will stand by my comment. Gamers were less toxic in the older days.

Discuss and plan what? Like, this could not be easier or more obvious.
There’s dozens of guides online, there’s the dungeon journal in game, and even if there were none of those things, it’s easy af

You are correct, nothing in WoW is really difficult. However, maybe one person wants that rock. Maybe that one wants the flower. Maybe another wants to clear all mobs. Perhaps this one is new. Mayhap that one is 5 years old. Or certainly that one may be 65.
There are so many factors in this beyond just the game mechanics.
This just proves my point. Why LEARN anything on your own, when you can just LOOK it up. What is the point of playing then?
As a side note, this is WHY people TALKED more back in the day. We didn’t have 1000 guides in an easy to access way.
You are the one being whiny. I am simply creating dialogue around the toxic, “rush and forget it” attitude the community has gotten into. Why are you so butt hurt about someone suggesting to slow down a tad? Seem pretty defensive.
unless you were geared in bc if you tried to pull this kind of crap the mobs would smash your face in. leaving you a broken smeared mess on the floor.
I like to go slower than most, but I don’t get too worried about tanks going fast. I also know how to watch my own health bar.
It is fun to go back and solo old dungeons, for the purpose of exploring and admiring art etc. I generally do that on my own time.
I’m not butthurt my guy because I want them to go even faster. You’re the one crying you can’t keep up. Make your own group and stop whining.

To be fair this exact same thing exists in other games. In FFXIV for an example the speed at which “most” players expect is everything up to the boss as fast as possible. They call it wall to wall. And it’s one of the main reasons I stopped tanking. Like you I want to enjoy the dungeon and not rush through it. Even if I’ve done it before I hate that pace. If you want to go that fast make your own group.
