You’re right that resilience is a dead stat in pve. However, look at this sim and set it to the Pre-raid gear set. It uses the 378 pvp weapon. If a ret paladin showed up to your dungeon with this setup, would you kick them? They obviously did their research and got what they could outside of raids. Are you saying you’re smarter than the people theorycrafting and setting up the sims?
Its not in pvp. But again, the name of the game is what is pre-raid best in slot and the pvp weapon is best in slot pre firelands for a ret pally because it gives the most dps. Its that simple.
Yes but we are not talking about PvP here we are talking about PvE!!! Glad you are realizing this.
Lol but it’s important to recognize that pre raid - BiS lists are meant to be guidelines, not strict rules. They serve as helpful recommendations and should not be treated as an absolute requirement.
It’s important to recognize that while BiS lists provide valuable guidance, they should not be treated as rigid rules.
Guidelines, Not Absolutes: BiS lists are meant to serve as helpful recommendations based on current data and theorycrafting. They offer a way to optimize your character’s performance, but they are not the only path to success.
So you’d kick someone who does their research, has objectively the best items they could have up to that point in their gearing, knows their class, puts time into the game, ran infernos 10s of times to get their gear, and could easily run a Firelands raid? Never, ever touch a raid roster or make a guide, because that’s wild.
Its not guidance, its the best. The best in slot is the best item for that slot. There is no debating it. Its like saying getting 17% hit as a mage or warlock is just a guideline. No if you want to consistently hit your target then you need 17% hit.
He doesn’t understand this. All he knows is “pve” and “pvp”, and a narrow/basic understanding of stats. No understanding of nuance of how the classes work, and when I cornered him with a scenario he could neither say yes or no to, his real opinion came out, that he’ll just kick you if you’re the lowest ilvl if he feels like it. He’s a true griefer and checks off almost every box for why someone should be kicked from a dungeon, raid, and/or guild (which his druid was btw)
It is indeed guidance. If you look at the pre-raid BiS list on WoWhead, you’ll see that it’s designed to provide options and guidance for gearing up before raids. While it does highlight the BiS items, it also includes other viable options. This list is created by players and is not “Perfect”. It should be used as a helpful reference rather than an absolute requirement. It’s important to remember that BiS lists are meant to guide players and are not set in stone. Flexibility and adaptation to your personal playstyle and available gear are key.
You mean it was called VC in Vanilla once Dire Maul opened, once Deadmines got its revamp in Cataclysm its DM since Dire Maul is nothing more than a leveling dungeon. You could even say Deadmines is DM in MoP since Heroic becomes irrelevant, so people leveling will never see a VanCleef boss again.
My Mage has an item level of 388, and my Druid has an item level of 387. I doubt players V2K either of them from a RDF group. They would more likely welcome my presence and be happy that I am there.
