They need to lock you into the role you queue as (or are given if you had queued as more than one). It’s not fair to a group if someone queus as healer in order to get the faster queue, then runs around in dps spec the whole time and not healing at all. I raised this issue in a group recently, and I was the one kicked and had to deal with the 30 min deserter buff. People actually doing the job they signed up for should not be the one punished.

No, they don’t. If someone is being the issue, just remove them, it’s that simple.
I do this all the time when there is a call to arms to tank.
I queue as tank then switch to fury to flight through the dungeon faster.
I tried and they kicked me instead for bringing it up. It’s one thing if you make your own group and do whatever you want. If signing up for a public group, they should at least make sure everyone is ok with them doing this other role they didnt sign up for. If they have a friend with them, there is no way you are getting a successful vote to kick
It sounds like the majority of the group was okay with them. If they had a friend, the decision to kick you had to be unanimous. If not it needed 3 of the other 4 players in agreement.
They can do terrible healing in any spec I guess, but it would make it harder for them to manipulate the system at least if they have no intention on healing. It would also make it easier to convine people to remove them from the group if they are doing that.
So I’m trying to understand the concern here. Is it a fairness thing? That others aren’t getting the same queue length as you?
I’m the kind of person that would queue as healer and swap to DPS when I’m confident me DPSing will be faster and just as safe as me healing. I still off heal as DPS and make sure people are healed up and not dying.
Unless it’s actually griefing the dungeon I don’t see the issue. In fact, it should get people who queue DPS only faster queues since there are more people queueing as “Healer.” I’m sincerely confused. If the dungeon is going smoothly or even faster than if that person were a healer, what’s the issue?

Obviously we need the option to allow users to queue as “AFKers”.
Would totally solve all issues.
