Dual spec won’t fix it. This works in retail because the M+ scene is sustainable by itself. Here, in classic, it’s all about the raid spots. There are 2 tank spots for 25 man raids. That’s less than half the spots for 5-man content. I wanted to play my warrior tank but I didn’t because I didn’t want to compete with other tanks on the very few tank spots. I went with a lock instead. In classic it was not an issue because I was able to tank in my dps spec. I just put on my tanking gear and it will be all good.
I was there too and I started to heal on my druid in wrath when they added dual spec. Many others have posted the same thing. Dual spec increases the number of players tanking and healing.
Nothing is going to solve the tank shortage. I’ve been tanking dungeons to get to level 70 and it’s been an odd journey.
No one uses threat meters. People blow their CDs at the start (level 70s) and then I taunt and they continue until they die. Then I get blamed.
No one interrupts anything.
I was removed from a normal dungeon for not being defense capped. Not a heroic. A normal lol.
Retail is way better for tanks. DPS in mythics interrupt. I can interrupt. I feel like I’m doing something and am not at the mercy of my DPS.
TBC feels like I’m rolling the dice with pugs. So I’m less inclined to roll with pugs.
Then the dps deserved to die, if you continue to dps when you know clearly u have aggro on a boss by exemple the taunt is not a 100% chance to success except if u are hit cap but during lvling never, and some boss are immune to taunt. On mobs spellcleave can get aggro that fine since they are controlled
60 min —> 45 minutes is what you call a substantial improvement?
Once again, since you’re slow, YOU are making a claim that, in the past, dual spec greatly helped reduce dps wait times.
I am making a claim that putting in dual spec will not fix tank shortage. IF it is put in, time will either prove me right or wrong. I am making a prediction about a future eventuality, YOU are making claims about a past event. YOU need to back up your garbage. I just need to sit and wait.
But the problem is that you’re a coward and can’t back up your lies because you know it’s all in your head, so you won’t do it and will continue to throw back the ball at others and being called on your bull.
It is kind of not right in the head. Be nice to it.

I am with you brother, and so are many. But the deformed nerds and the nolifers do not want it cause remove part of their advantage of being social rejects.
Hopefully, eventually, we will get dual spec for the benefit and the fun of everybody.
This is so true so many people would duel spec to tank for dungeons.
Please give us duel spec this is the change we need.
History isn’t a future event. Link to the historical data that proves there was no increase in tanks and healers when dual spec was added.
Hey, if you think I am full of it because I don’t give you numbers, then you are openly admitting you’re also full of it because you’re doing the same. The fact you admit being wrong by proxy is good enough for me. The future will prove me right, and the best you can do is to continue make a fool of yourself and go for a tie. There are some people intelligent enough to realize that no objective data is available and some who just aren’t. All we have is our personal opinions but you’re confused and think your opinion is fact.

You don’t seem to get it, actually.
We have objective history to refer upon. The actual passage of time in a context for which dual spec was added, and even more so, a current time in which trispec essentially exists and gear is even multi-faceted in it’s coding so that it can be used in any spec. There’s a satchel that gives bonus rewards/gold for tanking too. Tanking has also been made vastly more simplified, with threat being a completely non-issue outside of skittish, and it being more focused on routes and pulls for M+.
All the accessibility is there, but they still complain about tank shortages.
We don’t need any numbers because we have the equivalent of an ecosystem in a bottle that we can point at and show you, straight up, it didn’t work.
All you have is feelings.
One of us has a better leg to stand on.
I hope you suffer throughout this entire expansion begging for this feature while never getting it. Its what you deserve for your hubris.

Neither is same faction BG’s or character boosts. Apparently Bliz is fine with “some changes” on Classic servers.
Why is dual spec different?
Tank shortage always existed whatever tool blizzard did to help with this.
Its simple: People dont like to tank
Of course the dual spec could help a bit but really not that much.
