No! But here is some easy fact: A mmorpg lives by its playerbase. If the playerbase isn’t massive anymore, the mmorpg becomes just an orpg.
So what is the best to do if you also want to keep the mm? Go with the wishes of the majority. ESPECIALLY if it doesn’t hurt anyone or just a very small minority!
If you are going to quit over something that was not in the game not being implemented in a recreation of a game that was literally asked for for the express purpose of being like it used to be you do not belong here
You didn’t quit even tho the daily hero quest came month before it originally implemented to the game. Why would you quit then when they do the same thing with another helping and wanted feature?
20 min of fishing the right fish can net 100g on the AH easily. It’s not instant gold, but it’s gold.
But hay, you don’t want to do that right? Well you can sell tanking services, healers can pair up with a aoe farm character like a warlock and farm together and reck mobs fast because the warlock is no longer limited by HP, and hp turns to mana, mana turns to damage, and a warlock killing 10 mobs at once isn’t hard with a pocket healer, pull with dots apply seed, boom.
Flawed argument, something added during a different patch is not the same as things added during a different expansion.
I’m not happy with the inconsistency’s we’ve seen already, the meta gem that benefits me… I’ve actively complained about it being added into the game early.
So you didn’t play with b11s during pre patch in classic? Bought stuff from them from the ah? Fighted with them in BGs/Dungeons/Raids?
Anyways: To discuss with you guys is pointless and too time consuming, so I won’t answer to you anymore. You are against it, I got that, but lets hope Blizzard will do the right thing in the interest of the game and the majority of the player base: implement dual spec!
You don’t fish do you? Do you pull these numbers out of you rear?
The most expensive fish is Furious Crawdad which usually goes for 1.5G on my server and since I do actually fish for these if I was trying for 100G return there’s no way I’d be able to catch 60+ in 20 min. They drop from pools and if I’m really lucky and no one is around I can nab maybe 40 in an hour of flying around.
You know what I use the Gold for? Raid stuff like consumables and enchanting mats. Sort of defeats the purpose if most of the profit is going to swap specs back and forth.
As far as your other “suggestion” I’d prefer not to be reliant on a Lock buddy being on when I have free time to farm.
For a very few who think their pseudo gold should have more value…
I will come up with a more valid example and it’s the last time I’m trying to explain it to you:
Imagine your country would decide it’s a good idea to implement an additional tax for people that have more than one job and defend that with the reasoning it would help the country.
If you end up having less money AND less time for having more than just one job, who the heck would have two jobs? Who would punish himself?! Maybe some rich workaholics who don’t know what to do beside sleeping (4 hrs) and working (20 hrs), but 95% would never ever imagine it.
So the additional tax wouldn’t help the country at all, it would actually harm itself. Why? Because they not only get zero value from the tax, the also lose additional income from the stuff that is needed for the job (train tickets, uniforms, etc.).
And they would end up having a lot of companies who can’t find people to work for them, because nobody wants to pay the stupid additional tax.
So that tax wouldn’t have any value and only some sleepless and richt workaholics might defend it!
I don’t care if you can follow that matching example or not, I made my opinion very clear and supported it with a lot of examples! Something you can’t say from yourself!
Warlocks, mages, paladins, heck even hunters can do some aoe farm (uses a lot of mana and requires dragonhawk pet to be effective), so can warriors if they don’t have to worry about hp.
And fishing can yield 100+ gold on my server for about 20 min of fishing, maybe not on yours, but you can supplement it with income from herbalism, mining, engineering, exc. If you have 2 crafting professions, that was your choice and you have to pay the price for that (and even then if your AH savvy you can usually turn a profit with that). Gold is not hard to make in tbc, I have raid mats saved up for about 3 months of raiding already, if I need gold I can sell some of it, or farm more. If you want to constantly respec without farming regularly you can make a second character to be your pvp toon. Then you don’t have to farm for respec costs all the time and you have 2 more professions to make use of! Considering most pve gear is not the best for pvp once season 2+ comes out due to how resilience works its not like you will miss the raid gear on your pvp toon much.
Your the one trying to make gold worth even less by removing a gold sink and increasing inflation. All because it’s inconvenient for you to have to respec.
If you feel farming to respec is a second job to you, you might want to find a new game to play. Do not play tbc classic if your not having fun, it’s that simple. Find something else to do.
This has absolutely zero impact on a server wide problem. It’s obviously factually incorrect. If there are 10 tanks and 100 people looking for a tank to get a group 60 of them aren’t going to find a tank and do a dungeon. You’re offering a strategy to increase your chances of being one of the 40 winners. Almost everyone has friends in the game. I’m very introverted and even I have made friends and joined a good guild. If I was more extroverted, if I told more jokes, even if I typed faster so I could fit more dialog in party chat while we played the game I could get more groups. I could move from the 60 losers that can’t find a group into the 40 winner group. But only by pushing one of the 40 winners into the 60 losers category.
If there are 10 tanks and 100 people looking for a tank the only thing the will make it easier to find a group is increasing the number of tanks.
Which dual spec does not do in 90+% of possible tanks. We saw this in retail. Dps that could tank chose to make a pvp spec, a farming spec, exc. Over becoming a tank for their off spec.
Dual spec is not the magical fix that people are trying to make it out to be.
