DST HR 1 SR per raid?

I’m seeing stuff like that on LFM posts for stuff like a Gruul’s Lair and Mag group in chat. What does this mean? The abbreviations make no sense to me. They don’t line up with anything I can recall from 20ish years ago. Then again, on the server I was on back then, no one pugged much because raids were too “hard” to pug, even Kara, from what I heard on my server.

Trying to puzzle it out using abbreviations that already exist has me so confused.

DST instead of PST for Please Send Tell might be Don’t Send Tell, but then how would they know a person wants to join, so it makes no sense.

HR? Heroic? But Heroic in-game, afaik, is always just H, so it also makes ne sense.

1 SR, I just have no idea. It makes me think Super Rare, but that’s a Trading Card Game abbreviation, and there is no Super Rare rarity for gear or anything else in WoW.

Is there some sort of Glossary for this type of stuff for TBC Classic Anniversary?

DST stands for Dragon Spine Trophy, it is a highly sought trinket dropped by Gruul.

HR stands for Hard Reserve, if an item is HR’d and it happens to drop it then goes* to whomever put in the Hard Reserve.

SR stands for Soft Reserve, multiple people can SR an item and if it drops then those that SR’d the item do a /roll and the highest roller wins said item.

DST Hr means that someone has presold the item for tens of thousands of gold, and you are going to help the raid leader get paid. No cut for you though, that’s against the rules

Already been explained to what it is, but SR/HR is a classic phenomenon as far as I’m aware. Probably originated from some other game, but when I finally got into Classic raiding back on first release I had to look it up cause I had never seen it before then.

SR basically is a way to allow many people to only target a few of the bigger items they care about with the ability to free roll less important items if no one SR’d it. Most pugs will SR the big upgrades (tier, weapons, etc) and leave the less impactful gear to complete chance. Historically, HR is done in a pug when the RL wants something ultra rare (like DST) and a guild needing to slot some pugs may also HR some specific/rare item they need, anything legendary related, and/or raid crafting materials.

“LFM Gruul/Mag DST HR, 2SR MS>OS”

LFM = looking for more

DST = dragon spine trophy, purple trinket people pay $$ for in real life

HR = hard reserved meaning if it drops you can’t /roll on it, it already belongs to someone

MS>OS = main slot greater than off slot, meaning if tank shield drops, Tank gets it, if dps want it for a tank set, they get seconds if the tank does not want.

2SR = two self-reserves, some website you go to and reserve 2 items you want. Once your SR item drops you /roll.
if an item drops you want that you didn’t SR, you can /roll, but if you didn’t reserve it and you roll higher than someone who did reserve, they get it… i think… could be wrong there but pretty sure that’s right.
And if no one else rolls then you get it either way.

ha got ‘em
