Druids -dps specs in classic?!

The crit is nice, but it’s only for the party. You’ll already have a Hunter in your melee group for the TSA, so if it’s Alliance it could work, but for Horde they’d rather have Windfury probably.

Though at the casual level it’ll likely depend more on what’s available based on what people want to play. I’m sure a kitty druid will be able to find a home. But windfury is a good point to keep in mind on horde side. Especially since it lets you drop a healer into the group.

But I do look forward to sim sites being updated for classic so people can run different buff combinations against each other. I’m honestly curious what the difference between some of them works out to be.

Feral was also good at defending flags in AB. Stay back stealthed and wait for the rogue. Farie Fire them, stun them and then go bear form and call in the cavalry.

I don’t think I ever met a feral that was a better FC than a HotW or resto hybrid. I don’t really see what feral offers for FC that makes them “best,” although maybe it’s because the kind of people that were feral weren’t exactly team players. I don’t see how a feral is superior at any of these other druid BG applications either. I’m not sure if people think HotW/NS is feral and not hybrid, or are under the misconception that 5/11/31 is a healbot and can’t be played as a hybrid, but prior to the talent revamp, it was considered pretty much the only viable hybrid PvP spec.

Will change in classic. For the worse. A lot of former hybrid players out there now have hind sight so they’ll just roll something better.

Druids are like the swiss army knife of classic.

Sure a kitchen knife will cut better, but it makes a better screwdriver, has a toothpick and tweezers as well as at least three things I have no idea what are used for but when I do find a use for them I will have the tool for the job…probably.

Druids have the highest skill ceiling in PvP bar none. A well played druid in PvP is probably one of the best classes in the game. You dont need to do the highest DPS to be really good at this game, you just have to use your tools appropriately. There were some really good druids back in the day but they are very hard to play at that level.

You are realistically not going to be accepted into groups for your dps as it will always be subpar to all the dps classes. If you are willing to tank as feral you might get a raid spot and can easily tank 5 man dungeons.
