Druid Tuning - April 10

If it were actually good then that would be cool.

Just a waste to spend all that time and energy for a class that does 65% of one button mages and locks

You know, by all means feel free to be upset about the changes, and you’re right the increase is minor, but at least get your math correct if you’re going to use it to back up an argument.

Going from 2.07 to 2.1 is actually a 1.5% increase m8.

So instead of admitting you messed up and simply reverting the changes you’re just going to make an even bigger mess of this? :ok_hand:

/shrug the interesting part of feral is not how many buttons you’re pressing. It’s properly managing combo points to mix in as much FB as you can without anything dropping off.

It was good. My definition of good == fun. I was happy when ferals were trash dps but had a fun rotation. It seems counter to good design where complexity and mastery should be rewarded, but failing that, I’d still rather have fun.

For those who don’t want to spend that time and energy and also don’t want to suck, there’s a plethora of other options available. We didn’t need feral druids to fall in line here for anything other than damage… and even then, need is a strong word with regards to the damage output.

thats the easy part

Nah that’s the part that actually takes timing and intuition. Hitting a shapeshift macro followed by maul/mangle/lac whenever you have 4-6 seconds of energy down time wasn’t hard, it was just tedious.

I see where you coming from, but to me it was my favorite part of the rotation, scaring tanks on threat meter and getting extra damage without loosing any of my bleeds, it put a smile on my face, but i can see not everyone enjoys that, if you dont i mean just play a rogue.

No thanks I’m perfectly happy with druid and this is still a net improvement for me

how was a change that has implications on pve and pvp damage able to get pushed through when the original intent of the faerie fire change was to have nothing happen to pvp feral druid viability?

adding a flat 5% increased physical damage modifier to the feral druid pvp 4 set bonus would be a nice little band-aid fix for this issue you brought upon druids

Actually, I did find it quite challenging to juggle lacerate with rip/rake and a lot of the struggle I had was making sure I didn’t drop any of those, as well as cap on energy at any point. Whereas without bear, it was much, much easier to do all those things.

Like, I appreciate that FB becomes a part of the rotation now (instead of ICC when gear has more crit on it), but it’s still trading something complex for what ends up being a single button.

I respect preferences here, but it’s really nice to see that I wasn’t the only one who loved what bear-weaving did for the class.

wait so first it was a buff “expected to be a slight buff to the best Feral DPS players around 5% to 10%” which you successfully achieved, and now it’s “we are making an additional change to lower this output by about 4.5%” (by implementing a flat 5% nerf?)… all without any notice, communication, or public testing? This is ridiculous.

It’s not like you over buffed ferals or something, they’re still decidedly middle of the meters. <classic. warcraftlogs. com/zone/statistics/1017#sample=7>

The difference is that bear weaving was just a mechanical rotation, it required manual dexterity but little actual thought. The more you can mix in FB the more of a decision tree it becomes vs just do the rotation. Not to mention that it’s a lot more fun in the open world.

But yes difference of opinion.

Yes. They did the buff they said they would and then rethought about it and didn’t discuss any of this with the people that actually play the game / class.

Copy the pvp nerf. Remember all the times you said you weren’t going to make changes that affect pvp?

You guys are straight trash and liars. Heaven forbid feral becomes S tier, maybe sometime, down the road, in theory. Right?

Wow look at that, blizzard can’t be trusted to make changes to the game without going too far and making things worse, sure seems like #nochanges was right all along
