Because “/cancelcast” is not a macro function, the function you’re looking for is “/stopcasting”
considering players reported the bug during beta, 2+ months ago, and it’s still not fixed, I have doubts blizz will fix it any time soon
Ya this bug is driving me nuts. It also disables auto attack for me. I like watching an owl whack things. This is painful.
Oh my god thank you for posting this. This bug was driving me crazy but I hadn’t made the connection to typhoon. I also noticed it will prevent some emotes from working as well, as in it won’t even log the text in the chat. It was driving me crazy to figure out why I couldn’t /wave without a relog!

Affecting me greatly. This and the warlock pet spawning 30% hp upon dismounting makes me want to quit the game.

stop casting macro doesnt seem work? still bugging when I cast typhoon at anything large/hills/walls. this has been a really frustrating bug to deal with

Has this bug not been fixed yet? This is really really really annoying. I am having to manually click on on X’s on panels to close them. I can’t untarget mobs, I can’t cancel cast. Like what the hell…

Bumping for visibility
Using a /stopcasting macro still seems to prevent it from happening 99% of the time, but it still happens once in a while.
